Birth of my first child is scheduled for the March 30. Could get interesting. Always have HBOGo on the iPad though.
Will obviously miss football, but Sundays with Game of Thrones and Mad Men will be so awesome. Was an insanely good TV night last spring, especially with the NBA playoffs going on as well.
WinterIsComing.net @WiCnet Breaking news: HBO will air a "graphic tease" for #GameofThrones season 3 tonight, prior to Boardwalk Empire. It will be online soon after.
i've done a little reading around GoT blogs and such and people seem to think it's stannis' wife, selyse
Definitely sounds like something she'd say. That silly cunt Selyse would be all hurr durr my daughter derr the king will punish you.
WinterIsComing.net @WiCnet Well this is interesting... I've been told that the voice in the teaser is neither Selyse nor Quaithe. Val? #GameofThrones
I just saw the Twilight movie and at one point they're talking about how they had to kill some chick and the words they used were "She had to pay the price." Took everything inside of me not to shout out "THE IRON PRICE!"
You're wife has terrible taste in movies. And if you have to pay her back for seeing a critically acclaimed movie about an interesting story in American history then she sucks doubly. No offense of course as I have no illusions that my wife will go see Argo but since she liked Skyfall it evens out

HBO has let us know that a new “In Production” featurette will air tomorrow night at 8:54 P.M. Eastern Time, prior to the finale of Boardwalk Empire. The Game of Thrones: In Production video will feature “interviews with the creators, cast and more,” providing our first official look at season three and at some of its new characters! After the first look airs on HBO, it will be available online at Making Game of Thrones, as well as HBO.com and Game of Thrones‘s youtube channel.
Show runners say a lot of episodes will be 56, 57 minutes this year (up from 52 last year). Also, the finale will be over an hour long (like the S1 premier and the S2 finale). - http://winteriscoming.net/2012/12/s3-episodes-to-be-longer-on-average/
GRRM must have convinced them to include 5 minute long descriptions of all meals/feasts to better mirror the books. Plus I heard there's an episode in which Sansa reads the recipe for lemon cakes out loud for an entire scene
http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/12/18/game-of-thrones-longer-season-3/ Spoiler of Thrones DEC 18201210:54 AM ET 'Game of Thrones' gets super-sized season 3 -- EXCLUSIVE by James Hibberd Tags: Game of Thrones, News Comments 62 Add comment The biggest production on TV of one of the biggest stories in fantasy is about to get a little, well, bigger. The Game of Thrones team is creating a “super-sized” third season of the hit series. With showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss tackling content from the first half (roughly) of author George R.R. Martin’s largest Song of Ice and Fire novel (the 973-page fan-favorite A Storm of Swords), the writer-producer duo are delivering slightly longer episodes to the network. There’s still 10, but you’ll get a little more each week than previous seasons. “There’s almost another full episode’s worth of extra minutes spread across the season,” Weiss says. “One of the great liberties with HBO is we’re not forced to come in at a specific time. We can’t be under 50 minutes or over 60, but that gives us a lot of flexibility.” COLLECT ALL 4 HOBBIT COVERS: When you subscribe to EW! “A super-sized season, as befitting Storm of Swords,” Benioff adds. “Last year we had a lot of 52-minute episodes. This year is a lot of 56, 57.” In fact, the third season finale is expected to run more than an hour — a move that requires special permission from the network (previously, the show’s pilot and its second season finale exceeded an hour). Episodes are still being calibrated so exact times could change, but HBO and producers are confident the season will deliver more Thrones than ever before. Says HBO in a statement: “All 10 episodes gained a minute or two from past seasons with the finale very possibly exceeding 60 minutes.” “So for people clamoring for another episode, it’s in there,” Weiss says. “It’s just been cut into tiny pieces.” Game of Thrones returns March 31, with the season two DVD out Feb. 19.
