Never have two things been so wonderfully combined into sheer perfection. It's the internet version of chocolate and peanut butter.
**UPDATE: YASMIN REACHES OUT TO TMB** Thank you everyone for your support. The following is the statement I wish to make for now. The rescue and sanctuary people claim they are better for him than me. Yet they don't know that he is not a rhesus macaque but a Japanese snow macaque. They throw him bananas and he is not crazy for bananas. They say taking him away from me so brutally without allowing him to see me is best for him when in fact Japanese snow macaque babies live on their mothers' backs for a year or more. Is anyone at the sanctuary willing to have Darwin on their backs for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week? For this is how he lived with me. There were no signs of him being unhappy or stressed out when he was in my care. This monkey cannot be away from me for 5 minutes without having a panic attack as baby monkeys only step off their mothers back when they have their mothers in view. They only they feel safe if they know their mother is around to protect them from predators. What makes the sanctuary better care givers than me? If it is a larger space area that Darwin needed, I would have provided that to him when he was big enough to get off my back! For now Darwin needs my back. And I need him back. Any tips, advice and guidance from you all are welcome. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Well, she has lovely stationary that I failed to fully incorporate into my post... but I feel like you get the message.
Says the monkey has a panic attack if away for more than five minutes then induces panic attack by locking him in a crate in a car in the IKEA parking lot.
I'd like to call for a moment of silence as 34 is about to pass NWestGator for most liked post in TMB history. The king is dead, long live the king.
