I'll have to check out some of his recent movies, I think the last thing I saw him in was "The Young Riders" like 20 years ago.

The Blackfish, could I impose upon you to email me a copy of The Twelve? I just realized it wasn't in the ebook library.

Re-started it a couple days ago, ~25% in as of last night. I'm really enjoying it.

I didn't. Got about 20% in over the period of weeks (rather than days this time around) but got really busy with the end of school/graduating/Christmas, and by the time it was 12/25 I had a couple new books I wanted to read + the January book. So I ended up reading two I got for Christmas + the three novels by Flynn, knowing I'd re-start The Twelve since it had been about a month since picking it up.

Started my re-read of it yesterday. Took like two minutes to remember why I love it so much. Early portion of the book is great w/Amy, her mom, Wolgast, that entire situation, etc. Remembering some things as I go but I forgot a lot. Happy to get back into this world.

Just finished it for the second time. What a fantastic book. Knocking out The Art of Fielding then taking on The Twelve. So happy I'm doing a reread. Forgot so many little details.

Just finished my re-read. So good. it had been so long it was almost like reading it again for the first time. I completely forget about the middle part of the book with that Babcock colony and shit.

I really dont remember too much about the Twelve either, besides the ending. Looking forward to that as well. Will probably start that tomorrow.

    I'll be reading this soon.

For all this time, I had thought this book was some sort of thriller/secret agent story. Looked up the description, said it was post apocalyptic vampires.

    I was a bit off.

It's one of my favorite books. Probably has the highest TMB approval rating too.

Youre also a lucky SOB that you dont have to wait for the final book to come out.

Browsing a local bookstore today, came across a first edition hardback in great condition of The Passage. Only $15.

Haven't even read it yet, but I couldn't pass it up.

Haha. I think I posted in here that I read this book with no knowledge of it at all, based only on tmb recommendations. It was quite the experience to jump into this world with literally no idea where it was going.

I read it again last week in anticipation of the city of mirrors and it was even better the second time

Hey, I'm just now reading this book.

Midway through Part II. Not really digging the Colony stuff. So far it's been extremely....slow. I assume it picks up quite a bit once Amy reemerges and the original "overall" plot continues from this timeline? And are the other 2 books in the series good follow-throughs? I really enjoyed Part I of this one.

This is one of my favorite novels. The other two books are very good, but this is the best one imo.

We all thought the same thing. Give it like 20 pages and you'll be all in again. I think Part III is when it really starts picking up.

FOX'S THE PASSAGE: JUSTIN CRONIN'S VAMPIRE DRAMA GETS COMIC-CON POSTER
Take a bite out of Comic-Con.
    BY LAURA PRUDOM

If you're a fan of vampires, post-apocalyptic sci-fi, or the idea of Mark-Paul Gosselaar saving the day, you'll want to check out Fox's upcoming midseason drama series, The Passage, based on Justin Cronin's bestselling trilogy of novels.

While the show doesn't debut until 2019, Fox is previewing the high-concept series at San Diego Comic-Con, and IGN has an exclusive first look at the mini-poster that the network will be handing out free at its booth during the convention. Check it out below:
Executive produced by Ridley Scott and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves, The Passage focuses on Project NOAH, a secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure for all disease, but also carries the potential to wipe out the human race. When a young girl, Amy Bellafonte (Saniyya Sidney), is chosen to be a test subject, Federal Agent Brad Wolgast (Gosselaar) is the man who is tasked with bringing her in. Ultimately, however, Wolgast becomes her surrogate father, as he tries to protect her at any cost. Friday Night Lights writer Liz Heldens penned the pilot script and executive produces.

The Passage has had a long road to the screen, with Scott's production company, Scott Free, acquiring the book rights in 2007, before the first novel was even published. While it was initially envisioned as a movie adaptation, the producers ultimately decided the story would be better suited for a TV series.

The Passage Comic-Con panel will take place Friday, July 20 at 6 p.m. in Room 6A, with panelists including Gosselaar, Sidney, Heldens, and Cronin, along with Henry Ian Cusick, Jamie McShane, and executive producer/director Jason Ensler.
