no way does Littlefinger fuck Sansa. he wants to I'm sure, but he knows she's much more valuable as a maid he can put a direwolf cload on and marry to Harry the Heir.
Maybe it is Littlefinger's fatal flaw, but I have no doubt he plans to keep Sansa for himself. With Cat now (sort of) died, Sansa is the living representation of his true love. He has already shown he has physical feelings for her.
Littlefinger, Varys, Tyrion, in this order, make these books for me. If 2 of those die before the last book I would be severely disappointed.
How? Just for discussion. Though I will agree her chapters can be boring reads, I think she gets a bad rep due to things out of her control.
how did she fuck things up for her family? Ned was planning to remove his family from King's Landing before attempting to remove the Lannisters fromfrom power and she went and told Cersei the plan.
She is a god damn cunt. She turned on her family for some princess fantasy. Even after Jofferey shits on her for two books she continues with her silly princess shit over highgarden. Everything about her just sucks. Atleast most of the other evil povs aren't simple twats. Bitch deserves nothing but pain.
But Ned went to Cersei and told her his plans so she could get her kids safely away. He told Arya and Sansa the chapter before this, so we cant't be sure who met with Cersei first. Also, Sansa only revealed Ned's intentions to leave KL.
she totally tipped Ned's hand. you think Cersei didn't see right through the plan when Sansa told her that her father was making her leave?
Ned's fault. He should've told her how important it was that she keep her mouth shut. He just said 'we're leaving and that's that' knowing full well she didn't want to and expected her to not say anything? I'd have either (A) not told her at all, (B) told her and locked her in her room or (C) told her that there were people that wanted to literally murder us and if she told anyone they'd likely arrest us, and then still locked her in her room
You say that like she had any idea what the stakes were. She was a dreamy little girl basically who was told she would be the queen one day. 98% of little girls would have their head in the clouds about that. Ned should've done a better job of actually, you know, being a parent and tempering her expectations and opening her eyes to reality.
can't believe this fucking guy is white knighting for Sansa, who was one of the dumbest characters of all time in the first couple books.
One mistake that's fine. She s just young dumb and naive. Note how her younger siblings aren't. That's ok though everyone isnt created equal. The thing I hate about her is after years of getting shit on and should have had her eyes opened to how the world works, nothing changes about her. She's still the simple little selfish cunt that betrayed her family at every chance she got.
Oh I agree Ned should have shut her down but Ned's pretty fucking dumb himself so it wasn't a surprise when he got schooled by his betters.
I like sansas chapters and she's growing on me as a character. Yeah she fucked up at the beginning but literally every single character did. Plus she's got little finger backing her which makes her one of the more interesting povs IMO.
I'd white knight for Sansa anyday. Her perception of life is so idealist I can't help myself from admiring it. For what it's worth I understand the hate for Sansa, She is definitely young and naive, but When else has she betrayed her family?
When has she not? She lied and got her wolf killed, would've been Arya's if she was a punk bitch like Sansa. No big deal though, lets go run and tell the family who killed my dog so they can kill my dad. Not really anymore starks for her to kill off so I guess she's done betraying them. She'll end up betraying Littlefinger and getting him killed. Still waiting for her to do one unselfish thing. Even Cersei is loyal to her family.
I'll give you Lady's death, but she paid for that one by losing her direwolf. And again, Ned went to Cersei himself to tell her his plans. Ned would have died without Sansa's intervention IMO. A lot of context is being ignored, for example she has been a prisoner since the end of GoT, she doesn't do things to be selfish or unselfish, she is being forced by her captors (Cersei, Joffrey, Littlefinger). She doesn't make many decisions for herself at this point.
I've never really looked at Sansa as a traitor. An annoying and naive cunt? Yes. But not really a traitor
Jebus, don't see her as she is in the TV, she is around 11 and entranced with the fantasy of being a Queen with her man the King as a knight in shinning armor. The problem with the TV series is that they cast a 15 year old in the part, she led a very sheltered life and by choice was exposed to very little at Winterfell, as she gets older she grows up, a lot. Don't be surprised the directions she takes as the series goes on in the next couple of years.
Part of my hatred for Sansa is because of Arya. Arya grew up exactly the same as Sansa, so why does she kick so much ass how did Sansa become such a queer.
Sansa was the older daughter and grew up wanting to be feminine and knew she would be married off to a high ranking Lord, or King, based on Ned Stark's ranking in the realm. Arya was the younger daughter and less important for marriage, so allowed her childhood, in time she would have been made to be more ladylike. Think of William and Harry, or for the older set like me, Elizabeth and Margaret.
To me, it was totally Ned's fault that Sansa spoiled his plan to Cersei. He should've known her well enough to realize he could never tell Sansa she was leaving until they were packed and ready to go.
Ned made his own bed by being an idiotic man of honor. He should have just turned down robert and stayed in Winterfell
I liked Ned as a character, but his decision making was awful. Telling Cersei about going to Robert took the cake for me. Plus, his honor is almost rigid. Stannis would be a terrible king, and Ned championed his claim. This seems a little weird to me since he put a king who had a very weak claim to the throne.
And I think Ned would be the first person to say he had no business being within 100 leagues of King's Landing.
that wasn't about claim to the throne though. Aerys had already killed Ned's father and brother and then had demanded that Robert and Ned come to Kings Landing as well to, at best be hostages, at worst be burned alive. Aerys left them no choice but to fight, Robert's claim was just a formality.
Still, following Ned's logic in Game of Thrones, Robert would be Regent while Viserys took over when he came of age.
well we don't know what Ned's plan would have been. Tywin got there first and did his damage. then Ned fought with Robert over the fact that Aegon and Rhaenys were murdered so he clearly didn't agree with that course of action. we never really know what Ned's desired endgame was for the Rebellion. Ned was fighting for his life and his sister. it's clear by the fact that he returned to Winterfell and removed himself for the politics of Kings Landing immediately that he had no desire to rule himself.
I'm just saying while Ned was fighting for his life and his sister, it's pretty hypocritical of him to be a vocal supporter of succession rights when he fought in a war which totally ignored succession.
but there was no successor left when the war was over. Rhaegar was dead, Aegon was presumed dead, and Viserys had fled across the Narrow Sea. that's why they said Robert had the best claim, all the Targs were gone.
I don't follow this logic. There was a war, and the establishment lost, which created a regime change. Old claims are thrown out IMO.
I'll back Ned on supporting Stannis because Stannis was the rightful heir. I blame Renly for that mess. Renly could've raised the Stormlords for Stannis knowing Stannis had no male heir and was unlikely to get one instead of splitting things up. Ned was dumb for how he dealt with Cersei and his handling of Sansa.
Barratheons are part targ. There line started from a targ bastard, and their grandmother was full targ.
Hence their claim. Remember there is not a lot of knowledge that there are more Targaryens than Daenerys, Rhaegar's children were supposedly killed, but Aegon lived.
I still have a voice in my head that they will die together somehow bc of the many references to them entering the world together and leaving together. For some reason I have been on this killing herself streak for a while --- dont even know why but . . . . . . I put more stock in LF killing himself after his plans unravel; but if Sansa grows a pair & were to kill him I wouldn't be mad in the slightest bit.
I think he is more of a headcase than most think. Dude has the little man's syndrome badly. Sick in the head.
Possible, but doubtful, but we will enjoy her remaining years. I think a surprise will be in order, a Jaime & Littlefinger epiphany. But then I love the Machiavellian characters like Littlefinger and Varys. I wasn't correcting anything, just expanding the situation.
