I've been very interested in this after seeing gameplay of it at last years E3. Now the new trailer is out, makes me even more hyped. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3HfmcDRbn8 BlazingRebel Thomas Sutpen I look at you two as fellow game advisors. Opinions?
I am very curious to see how it has progressed in this years E3. I am a huge TR fan, so I probably will rent or game fly this at some point.
At first I thought it was going to be a female uncharted. However, now it looks like its carving its own niche.
Well let's be honest TR was uncharted without the graphics and movie quality cut scenes back in the psx days.
Touché, however the younger crowd won't know that. So they're going to assume. Damn has it been 16 years since the original Tomb Raider came out? I feel fucking old.
Yeah well the younger crowd thinks COD is the pantheon of video games, so they can go fuck themselves.
I was about to go off on your ass, pearl. TR is basically 99% of the inspiration for Uncharted, although Uncharted has surpassed all of the Tomb Raiders for me in every facet except THE GOD DAMN GUN PLAY WHAT THE FUCK NAUGHTY DOG.
Will gamefly this one. Just glad they're actually going to finish it. The alpha build looked great last year
Definitely a must kop. Beyond: Two Souls The Last of Us BlazingRebel Your opinion on the two games above?
Both those games look legit. Quantic dream always puts out something that's not quite like anything on the market, which is pretty refreshing. Haven't really read much about it, so I don't know too much besides what I watched in the sony conference. From the little bit they showed in the video though, it seems like they are sticking with that strategy. Hell, I had no clue what the game was about from that video, but it sucked me in nonetheless. I'll definitely pick that one up. The last of us is one of my most anticipated games, and the video they showed just made me want it that much more. If i heard correctly in the interview I watched after, then the part where he slammed the guys head into the desk wasn't scripted. From what it sounds like, they have like a bazillion different animations depending on what is around you, where the enemy is, and where you are. If that's true, then there are so many possibilities of what can happen during a fight. Would definitely mean a high replay value, as well. I know you didn't ask me, but I figured I'd chime in anyways. Having a PS3
Beyond:Two Souls I need to see more about plus actual gameplay before I pass judgement. Though I loved Heavy Rain, so if the game play and story mechanics play like HR then I will definitely check it out. The Last of Us will be a must play for any survival horror fan, but at the same time I am praying that RE 6 goes back to its roots rather then trying to be like every other action game. My top games of E3 were Dishonored, Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell Blacklist and Sleeping Dogs plus a bonus with South Park: The Stick of Truth.

While that is true Uncharted took the TR formula and pretty much improved on it in every way. Obviously TR was limited by the machines at the time. Still there are a lot of games that are copying UC now. I really hope this game turns out well because from what I have seen it looks really good.
Man i am so glad i dont follow gaming AS closely as i used to. Now these games i really want to play just sneak up and are suddenly almost here. Cant wait for this one and didnt realize it was less than a month out.
Looking forward to this one. Ni No Kuni has been taking up most of my time lately, but I should be finishing up about the time this comes out.
Same. I know it will come to PS4 eventually but this is really annoying. Has there been another popular property anyone can think of off the top of their head that wasnt an exclusive THEN went exclusive like this?
Pretty fucked up. Is Andromeda going to be on PS4 to begin as well? Mass Effect is the only other one I can think of that had a strange switch in platforms.
Metal Gear Solid is another long time exclusive that went multi-platform. I just cant think of one that did the opposite like TR is doing.
You're going to have to ask the Xbox players. PS4 won't have it until next year. From all accounts, reports are its better than the reboot. I screenshot some reviews a couple of post up
wow the first 10 minutes were crazy. love games that start out intense, but no one does intense like tomb raider plus i wanna touch her hiney
I think I was bitching about Tomb Raider being a timed exclusive and wondering if ME: A would be timed exclusive as well or if it would release alongside the Xbone version.
this game is great the on the rails sequences are some of the more intense things ive ever seen in video games
Just finished Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and thought it was incredible. Had me on the edge of my seat almost the whole time. Probably going to pick up Rise in the next couple of days. Can't wait to get started.
