Anybody got this yet? I think I'm about halfway through it, and I'm absolutely loving it. Best game released on next gen, without a doubt
Level 59 unlocked a shit load of stuff last night by complete accident one using the tonsil stone, and the other that psychotic bag wrath killed me near the cathedral, and it cut to a cut scene and unlocked another area. Good times
Yeah it was like 3am and I was pissed because it only needed one more hit to die then the cut scene happened I was all :ohholyfuck:
Right now I'm on boss clean up just took out the witch of Westwick to unlock runes. Ludwig's Holy Blade and Ludwig's rifle are my primary weapons.
Have you got picked up by the invisible amygdala giant hand yet? Took me to some nightmare university or something.
Yeah because of the tonsil stone those acid creatures in the audience hall where there were like 30 of the were a bitch without Molotovs. Isofeka was a little bitch.
I just used the holy blade in the big form and hit them all with R2. Takes 2 or 3 out with one hit. Quick xp in that area
Use the holy blade as my 2nd weapon. Use the saw spear as my primary right now. Just beat those 3 bastards in the forbidden woods. Damn lucky too as I was walking around with 174K blood echoes like a fucking idiot.
10 bosses in, think I am getting closer to wrapping it up. Just hit lvl 70. Using Saw Spear/Hunter Axe/Tonitrus (bosses only)/Stake Driver. I've hit a wall though so been going back and helping people with Spoiler Rom the pos spider which I had a huge problem with for some reason. This game is amazing, but I'm ready to dive into Dark Souls 2 before ppl max characters there so going to try and finish up by Sunday, hold off on NG+ until I get through DS2 and then dive back in later.
I have beaten about 10 and I don't think really feel I am close to finishing yet. Guys I have beaten that I can remember: Spoiler Cleric Beast Father Gascoigne Viccar Amelia Blood Starved Beast Henrik Witch of Hemwick Dark Beast Paarl Shadows of Yarmann Somehow ended up at Cainhurst castle on a coach and holy shit did the difficulty jump up a bit.
Have all of those plus Spoiler Rom the spider and the one reborn so currently in the nightmare realm getting my ass kicked. Difficulty greatly increases after Rom. Those bell ringing girls are the devil.
Ha, I was just walking around when I got there minding my own business and then I had 4 of them around me. Was killed immediately. The little old shits with the swords and the ghost ladies aren't much more fun themselves. Had multiple moments where I was doing something and an enemy jumped out at me or was behind me that made me jump. Then I made it all the way to the top and the boss kicked my ass. Sucks because there is no real easy quick way to get there.
Spoiler at the room with the screaming ladies, on the left as you walk in is a switch that works the elevator. Can walk to the right from the lamp and be at the boss in a minute or so after you open up the pathway
Almost think you should run past everyone till you see the 1st boss. That way you can level up at least.
I think they implemented an Easy Mode now, if it weren't there from the start. These games are all about timing and dealin' with the sometimes horrid control mechanics. To Anyone familiar with the rest of the Souls series; How does Bloodborne stack up against the others? I've heard word that it's a carbon based copy with minor things tweaked, but those are prolly 30 minute assessments from folk that didn't get paid to like it or those who aren't keen on the whole difficulty curve of the Soul series and such.
That's what I was told by a mate who's pretty keen on playing this stuff but he hasn't played Bloodborne as yet so I was a bit skeptical. I've only played Demon Souls and he says that the best out of all of 'em is Dark Souls 1, with 2 being buggy as all shite and not that great compared to that one. As much as I was slowly getting into the arduous grind that was Demon Souls, all it took was meeting that fucking cheap arsed Firedemon, Hellbringer plonker and I put it on hold for the sake of sanity. I was hoping that this might be the thing that cajoles me into finally getting a ps4 but I don't want to be pulled back into the lurch with the same problem and dislikes I had on the bloody ps3 if it's pretty damned similar.
Demon's is such a good game though. Especially when I am running around with my dexterity build. Got my +4 sharp uchi (fuck farming for the pure bladestone for +5) and +5 sticky compound bow. Add in the Adjudicator's Shield on your back for health regeneration and you pretty much just run around and wreck most everything then.
In the first zone? Just go down the stairs right past them into the house and fight them from inside the doors. They don't fit, good grinding zone early on. FWIW, I don't feel cheap cheesing this game when possible.
Run past them and down that corridor if you can't beat them (or do CZA's tip which I did a bunch). Beyond the crows and the huge guy is the 1st boss. Once you see him(don't even have to beat him) you gain an insight point. This will allow you to start using your souls to level up.
That may be my issue. I keep dying then reclearing areas and dying. Feels like I'm getting nowhere, obviously. These games make me like i'm so bad at video games.
One of the tricks is clearing until you find the shortcuts. If you run past the werewolves, go left down the steps into the house, the left out of the house can open a gate that makes it a 30 second run to the boss. Don't have to clear that first part every death. I'll sprint through a level often, find a shortcut then work my way backwards to clear.
took your advice and skipped stuff, good call. found two skull things and now i can level up in the dream
There's a few levels you have to employ that strategy. Those bell ringing bitches will make you half-crazy if you tried to clear it. You'll know the part I'm talking about when you get there.
Can't sleep because of pain, so I accidentally stumble upon Rom. Takes 4 tries but I burn the fucker. When he was down to 10% health I was taking no chances so I just fire bombed his ass.
Rom is such a fuck. I have helped at least 25 people kill him because for some reason, it took me like 30 tries to beat him. 13 bosses down, I think I am in the home stretch.
I still grind those doggies and the ogre guy later on for blood vials if I'm low. You usually get 8 per run from the great bridge campsite.
I haven't played in a while. Got to an area called Hemwick Charnel Lane and thought "A street full of corpses huh? That's enough for today". Need to find time to progress some more.
Rom was one of my easier bosses. I just killed the spiders and charge attacked him with Ludwig. I find the NPC hunters to be the some of the hardest guys in the game (even more so than some of the bosses). That one that spams his fucking shotgun with the lightning guy was a complete bitch when I ran into them at an early level. Then the 3 in the unseen chapel just fucking come on. PS: Fuck those chime bitches in the village PPS: Fuck Logarious.
That's a wrap on the first play through. Getting into chalices and then I'll probably go back through, but thinking about jumping into Dark Souls 2 instead. 60 hours and level 87 at completion, but I fuck around a ton so those numbers are probably higher and slower than average.
In the nightmare of mensis at level 83 walking around with my +9 chilkage and +8 Ludwig's holy sword. Debating on going to level 9 with the Ludwig or to level up the Blades of Mercy I just got. Just beat the nightmare frontier and was surprised how easy the boss was. Based on how tough the enemies were I was expecting something a bit harder. I just got close with the katana and hacked away. What gun is everyone using? I have stuck with the repeating pistol, but I am not in love with it really. Also what covenant are you guys in?
I'm using Ludwig's rifle, Tonitrus and Rifle Spear. I'm in the Cait covenent just because Logarious was probably the toughest boss for me and was easy to join right after. The armor is great, the caryll rune sucked. Just beat Cleric Beast on NG+. Holy balls he had a lot of health. Not particularly difficult, but took at least 10 minutes to whittle him down. Not sure how I am going to beat Gascione or BSB on this setting.
I decided to do some chalice dungeons and wow is the depth 3 chalice dungeon kicking my ass right now. Not sure if it is because I have 50 insight, but wow did the difficulty take a massive leap.
