at this point they could spoil the ending of GRRM's books & I wouldn't believe it at all; they've gone off the rails completely just by this sample size.
if it wasn't for the books, chopping off janos' head would be amongst my most favorite scenes of the show but them fucking up edd fetch me a block simply makes it above average. edit: the scenes between Stannis & jon have delivered, actually outside of fucking up fetch me a block I've loved everything they've done at the wall so far.
How many episodes leaked? I've seen 4 is episode 5 leaked? I have a bad feeling About the Sansa storyline.
just the first four, they were stupid enough to give dvd screeners out for reviews, as someone whose gotten his hands on more than a few dvd screeners that shit always leaks.
yeah, how she's always saying there's power in a king's blood and then tells jon how there's power in him & about wanting to make a shadow baby, the parallels between Jon, Gendry, & Stannis have my mind turning & twisting in thought.
one thing thats been puzzling me is the greyscale conversation with gilly. apparently there is no fAegon, so I doubt tyrion will travel through the city of stonemen. Why bring it back in? I suppose you could have it as a bonding moment between gilly and shireen, but then why go into depth on its effects? It seems like the limited time of the show could be better used unless grey scale ends up being so important that you need to bring it in in such an inconsistent way. in the books its associated with dreary, damp climates like the city of the stone men and dragon stone. now its a thing in the north. if it is important, it has to be more important in the books than as a way to kill jon con since it doesn't look like he'll be in the show.
thought they were pretty good only real problem i have is sansa marrying roose. i understand that they cant introduce the dorne and the vale though in one season
Why in the world did GRRM feel he "needed" to release that Sansa chapter before the new season of the show? To prove the show is going in a completely different direction with her character?
something will probably happen in the show that mimics what happens in that chapter. last year he released the mercy chapter. although it takes place in bravos, the show moved part of it to westeros.
lol at the writers saying this doesn't deviate from the books i have no idea what's happening, but I like all the choices so far. It's about time they start talking about Rhaegar
It's definitey telling they've talked about him twice in four episodes. I think he was only mentioned two or three times in the show after the first season. I thought it was also interesting Sansa's scene about Rhaegar/Lyanna took place at Lyanna's tomb in the crypts at Winterfell. There are a lot of solid theories out there regarding Lightbringer being inside Lyanna's tomb, and it could have been a device to remind showfags it exists for when it comes into play later.
Tough to say, since how they performed the burning differentiates from the book. IMO there's a reason they showed 4+ closeups of Tormund during the burning and that's who he switched with
i kinda agree but if we don't see a switch mentioned in 5 or 6 then I think you could say that mance is definitely dead.
Not so sure of that, it showed the 6 Spearwives in episode 4. It wouldn't make much sense to have them and not Mance. **Actually episode 3 about 35:20 and possibly Abel as well.
Spoiler I think Brienne is going to take Mance's place in Winterfell and orchestrate the rescue of Sansa.
doing a rewatch of the first 4 and there are so many subtle hints i didnt notice before especially with the watch, i know people will criticize but i think the showrunners are doing a really good job
It's tough for me to judge them since they are 2 of the only 3 people that know the character's arches. When it all ends and I re-watch it after reading all the books in the year 2048, I'm pretty sure I'll be receptive towards their choices. It's the choices like eliminating Jaime and Tyrion's last words that piss me off. if they are saving it for later, it'll make sense, but is sure seemed to make sense then
that is definitely my biggest complaint of the whole series, that two huge pov character's relationship was dramatically changed. but the scene with bronn and jaime in the ship where jaime said he was going to kill tyrion kind of made up for it. its almost more interesting that jaime regrets it so much.
that scene definitely was written for the future. i never really thought about them meeting up again until then. now when I try to piece it all together, it needs to include that
are these the spearwives, or ramsays girlfriend that chopped off theon's junk? i think they panned to her after theon was getting all friendly with sansa
Damn it, it is. Although it doesn't explain who the other girls are. As soon as it panned to them I thought it was the spearwives and didn't consider anything else, I guess it could be foreshadowing of her trying to fuck with Sansa in the future.
Uh, what the fuck are they doing with Loras character? And the faith militant story is fucked. They went way too davinci code with it.
even when mentioned by other characters on the show it's always about his sexuality, it's disgusting what they've done to him.
just watched them. kind of regret it since it'll be 3 weeks until a new episode. interesting that sansa is in winterfell. extremely happy they brought back Jaqen H'ghar. looks like we won't be seeing old dick crabb. loras is a bitch, and those pussies who let him get taken away were too. I mean you had at least two guys wearing full armor against several poorly trained zealots wearing robes and a chain. Should have sliced right through them, especially if it was book loras and not faggot loras. PIS at its finest.
Highly disapointed in the Unsullieds performance. Supposed to be some elite fighting force and they were getting cut down left and right. Also Jon is a much stronger man than me
My wife said the same thing, these unsullied are supposed to be one of the best fighting forces on the planet and I can't help but get Bennie Hill music in my head watching them march around and get wrecked. Also was hoping to see Selmy show off his prowess and while he was pretty good I expected much better.
Remember when Selmy said he could cut through all the Kings guard like butter in season 1. I guess that was bullshit he couldn't kill a bunch of untrained masters.
Anyone else feel like Greyworm is waaaay too small and weak looking to be an Unsullied leader? I get it that he had his balls cut off and doesnt have the testosterone of others, but he looks like he's never lifted a weight in his life
I think its going to come out that the SoH are the out of work pit fighters that were hired by the masters
