like i always thought AI had an insane wingspan. Apparently he was 5'11 with a 6'3 wingspan. Briscoe's doesn't even make sense
Think if Arizona takes a shooting guard he is the guy, but right now Josh Jackson is the priority with a center like Michael Cage/Ike Angibonu being the other option. The Scout staff says Arizona is doing well with him and DJ Harvey though.
Really like Fultz but he won't be a Hoya. Maybe if the pg from Washington transfers to us we might have a shot.
@ReggieRankin: Breaking: Just confirmed that Ivan Rabb will make his college decision tomorrow at 7 pm PT. @ESPNRNHoops
Dazon Ingram moved his commitment back. No longer committing on Monday. Supposedly Coach Cal had asked him to move his date back so seems like Kentucky is the leader more than likely. I know we have offered Nick King and Avery Johnson has been out at all kinds of AAU games scouting. I haven't really ever kept up with basketball recruiting but when is the usual time for kids to commit in this signing period?
I really don't understand why a kid like Ingram would go to UK so he can be recruited over every year and get zero playing time.
I kind of agree. I think he's got good upside and his size is ideal for Kentuckys typical guards but I don't think he's the scorer that they usually like to have. Plus you're right, next year they'll go and sign 5 more 5* players and he will get lost in the depth chart unless he has some type of breakout season next year.
looks like the UNC board has swung to a manic phase after the Duke depression of last week and we are now getting Brown and Ingram cause why not, should be cool
Ulis, Briscoe, Matthews, and Poythress are already taking up time at the guard spots. Potentially add Newman to that plus whoever else they land. Repeat every year after that.
Thinking Arizona might be making a real run at grad transfer Damion Lee. A lineup of PJC, York, Lee, Anderson, and Zeus with a deep bench wouldn't be the worst thing in a down year overall for college basketball.
Still cant believe Swanigan went to MSU. Also, crazy to think he isnt even 6'8. CAnt imagine he is a 1 and done.
Has a long wingspan and can create a ton of space, but agreed...doesn't fit the 1 and done profiles for big men
I think that's bull. Edit:http://trove.com/a/4-star-guard-Ken...utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=sns&chid=149774
Anyone hearing anything from their camps on Mamadi Diakite? Huge upside athlete who has shot up the rankings. He was a hidden gem UVA lock a couple months ago but now hearing UVA has cooled on him and him on UVA. UVA's 2016 class is going to be a game changer.
Would love it if the Hoyas could grab him. Monster defensively. Has the verbal of SKJ changed things?
No, we have a monster class graduating so we have 5 spots available. Two have already been taken by guards (Kyle Guy and Ty Jerome) and it's assumed that the other two would go to bigs (hopefully SKJ and Diakite, but also looking hard at Huff and Rakocevic). The last will probably be for best available. We've gotten mutual interest from Langford, King and Fultz and I'd be ecstatic with any of them but don't see us as a favorite for any of them.
Assuming Rabb comes to Cal, they'll be pretty good and deep next year. They nabbed Jolly this weekend who is get a 4th star and will finish in the R150, which would give them 3 in the 150. Mix that with Bird, Mathews, Wallace (if he comes back), Domingo, Rooks/Oka holding down center, they'll make some noise. There were also rumors that as long as Wallace was staying Rabb would come, so interesting to see if his decision lines up with a decision from wallace.
I've never been overly impressed with Rabb. Just seems to not be that skilled and can't score on the block.
I think he is at least a 2 year player as he needs to get stronger. He didn't impress in the showcases, but he has been pretty good for his HS. Not sure he is the savior for this season that Cal fans are hoping for.
Saw him play 3 games at the Tournament of Champions and he looked weak and awful. Weak and passive. Not sure if he was dealing with injury issues or if that's just his style. But for that size he was scared to bang with opposing bigs inside

Can someone with a scout sub post this? Will happily exchange with a 247 article next time you find you need one. http://scouthoops.scout.com/story/1537447-williams-gets-release-four-in-the-mix
Spoiler After Shaka Smart bolted for Texas, Kenny Williams is now looking for a new place to play his college basketball. Kenny Williams, a 6-foot-3 four-star shooting guard, recently asked for his release from his Letter of Intent with VCU. His father – Kenny Williams Sr. – informed Scout that they have received the release. “He’s started the recruiting process,” Williams Sr. said. “Right now he’s trying go gather information and see what’s available to him and try and create some relationships and try to make some decisions in the near future.” Thus far the schools heavily involved are North Carolina, Michigan, Georgetown andVirginia. Before picking VCU in mid-August, Williams considered all four schools, except for Virginia. “I know he had an offer from UNC and Georgetown,” Williams Sr. said. “No official offer from Michigan or UVa so far. I think they want to sit and talk to him before they make an official offer.” “It’s a situation where I told him that every dark cloud has a silver lining,” he added. “The sliver lining is his intentions from the beginning were to take four of his official visits. He felt so comfortable with Smart and his staff that he felt like he didn’t have to take anymore. Now it’s come full circle. I’m pretty sure he wants to take his visits.” A standout at Chesterfield (Va.) L.C. Bird, Williams has already gotten on the phone with a couple of the head coaches. “He’s talked to coach [Roy] Williams, coach [John] Beilein and coach [Tony] Bennett - all of those guys have expressed a lot of interest in him. I don’t know what all they talked about. I talked to them and they all seemed very interested in him. They also want to get to know him as person.” To go with official visits, Williams is also working to schedule some in-home visits “We’ll schedule a few in-home visits and also some unofficials once the dead period is over,” he said. “He’ll have to do in 30 to 45 days what he was trying to do in two years. We are in the process of trying to work those out,” Williams Sr. said. “Coach Beilein will come in on Friday. We are trying to figure those out.” “Hopefully we’ll set some unofficials once the dead period opens back up. Hopefully do some visits that last week of April and the couple of weeks of May. He doesn’t want to string it along.” Williams is one of the top three-point shooters in the 2015 class. During his last summer on the AAU circuit, Williams shot 43.7 percent from behind the three-point stripe.

Safe to say if he ended up as a 2 year player we'd be ecstatic. He's incredibly skilled - he flat out dominated professional euros in the summer league last year - I'm not enamored with his HS system, but he absolutely went through long stretches last year when he was very bored - no passion in his play, lots of disinterest, and would still finish 24/12/5. There's no doubt he needs a good weight program and thankfully we have one of the best trainers in the biz IMO - he'll pack on relatively quick. But to say he's not skilled in the post is flat out wrong. Dude goes with either hand and already can extend to 15 feet.
