Confirmed deals thus far: Danilo to Real Madrid Lars Stindl to Gladbach on a free Bremen teenager Davie Selke to Leipzig for 8m euros. Don't know if I've missed any more.
Real going to keep Carvajal now that they have Danilo coming in? Although it wouldn't shock me to see Real pay about $35 million for a RB only to platoon him or something. Basically so that Barca couldn't sign him in the winter.
That's exactly what's happening. In addition it also appears they're paying $24M for Gaya to backup Marcelo on the left hand side.
2 only even remotely relevant transfers in holland that are done already nemanja gudelj from AZ to Ajax andres guardado from Valencia to PSV (was there already on loan) best eredivisie targets out there who will most likely leave (my best guess for a ballpark figure of the price, in euros): 1 Memphis Depay (30-35mln) 2 Georgino Wijnaldum (15mln) 3 Jordy Clasie (12 mln) 4 Jasper Cillisen (10mln) 5 Davy Klaassen (10 mln) 6 Jetro Willems (10mln) Other guys who will be sold due to debt issues at FC Twente, some of who may be interesting and cheap targets in a firesale: Luc Castaignos, Hakim Ziyech, Rasmus Bengtson & Felipe Guittierez
I thought I read somewhere that Bilal Ould-Chikh was going to draw a lot of attention... am i mistaken?
yes and no, he is a solid but very young talent. someone might try and pick him up due to the troubles twente is in. that being said, he hasnt really done much at the top level yet
i think depay is united's to lose... but i was reading rumors of bayern getting involved so who knows
I love Depay it's a damn shame he's probably going to United. Januzaj or Di Maria would force a move right?
I'd go in for Castaignos. Think he'd have any interest in playing at the top end of the table in the Championship?
what site(s) do you guys use to track transfers and rumors. there's a lot of dog shit out there this time of year and i'm trying to sort through it all. figured this was a good of a place as any to ask...
Anything reliable won't report on a rumor. Since the window's not officially open anything you read is only speculation. Even when the window's open it's pretty much grown men getting paid to make shit up or working for agents. Site I enjoy the most, but it's primarily EPL teams. You will see they have some filters on there to minimize some of the real slop. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Transfer+Talk
Lloris has a 20 million euro release clause for CL clubs Imagine PSG will be all over that and United if they lose De Gea. Would love him but don't think he's as ruthless as Sol.
A couple of Spanish outlets reporting that both Real & Atletico face a 2 window ban for youth transfer issues which is essentially the same thing that happened to Barca. Nothing definitive yet and neither source is known for being all that reliable but several of the better Real writers have suggested there may be something to it.
he's still on contract through next season. you have to buy him right now if you're banned next window. so we have gained leverage if a transfer ban comes to fruition.
agree and the ban is sounding more and more likely so Perez will want to get it done sooner than later but it won't have as big an impact as it otherwise might since he knows DDG seems set on leaving next summer regardless Also it's just a registration ban meaning they can buy players and just loan them out until the ban is up. Not that it would play out that way with a big name like De Gea, but it highlights the stupidity of these "punishments".
Thought it would impact barca more than it actually has. Instead they got the extension, loaded up with Suarez, and now that it looks like Alves isn't leaving, have appeared to weather the storm. We'll have to see what happens with Xavi leaving and Iniesta appearing to falter in terms of midfield depth.
It would be if the ban went into effect right away. But like soul said, having a heads up and getting to operate during this window while it's being appealed greatly diminishes the sting of the punishment.
pog family to Paris? @FOXSoccer: Report: Paris Saint-Germain agree to blockbuster move for Juventus' Pogba. Via @goalusa: http://t.co/NaT1YRTkxp http://t.co/zmmY8XAUUK
Yeah, Goal would struggle to break wind much less news! hahahahaha Spoiler unless they link Tottenham with a top class player, in which case I am cautiously optimistic
I wouldn't trust goal but the Pogba fee might seem light when put in pounds because the euro is so devalued To give you an example, Gareth bale coat Real Madrid 100 million euros. That was quoted at 85 million pounds Today, an British team could spend 100 million euros on pogba and the cost in pounds would be quoted at 73.5 million
Matt Spiro@mattspiro My understanding is Wenger has sights on two L1 players this summer (among other targets): Monaco CB Aymen Abdennour & Lyon fwd Nabil Fekir
