The first one. So do they get all their movies for cheap? I've only had Netflix for 2 weeks and I've watched what should've cost them more than $8.99 to show me.
Marvel would get paid by the episode. When netflix purchased the blacklist, they paid NBC like 2 million per episode 1.35 mill for the walking dead etc...
Confirmed as fake. There is an "after credits" scene a minute or two into them, but nothing like the shawarma scene after all the credits roll. http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-e...nt-ahead-of-the-london-premiere-10193123.html
Netflix is going to be paying Disney a reported $300 million per year for all their content. All Disney produced movies go to STARZ I believe for premium cable, but once that contract is up after this year, all Disney movies will go straight to Netflix after their RedBox/PPV run is over. Their model isn't too far off from HBO, they just don't have their own productions and library like HBO has with Warner Bros.
HBO actually only gets about 7 bucks per subscriber if through cable. 15 if you're going through HBO Now. Not too far off of a revenue stream that Netflix makes. I'd say they're pretty similar in stature except Netflix has a bigger collection with a ton of useless fluff.
Television is going to go back to 3 networks...those networks will be Netflix, Hulu, Amazon...with the sporadic HBOGO, Crackle, Warner Bros Subscription, etc.
It's more of an exaggeration. ESPN won't go anywhere or Live sports...but you have each 'pass' for specific sports. why i canceled cable and have Apple TV.
Avoid the IGN review if you don't want spoilers. Apparently the reviewer thinks "minor spoilers" means you can describe basically the first 20-30 minutes of the film in detail.
yea i've entered media lockdown mode for anything about AoU since last Monday, already got my ticket ready for Friday after work.
Netflix ordered a second season of Daredevil for 2016. I'm curious how this plays into the Defenders plans. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/netflix-renews-daredevil-second-season-790645
Great news. Was worried we would have to wait 2 years since Luke Cage and Iron Fist will be in 2016 as well.
Thank goodness. I was worried it was a one-shot deal until Defenders was finished. There's a LOT of DD stories to tell. They just need to tweak that mask a bit.
Anyone else bothered by the "release all 13 episodes at once" format? I'm on episode 9 now, but everyone I know binged and saw all 13 that weekend. I'd rather not have them one per week (I kept forgetting to watch Community) but maybe 4,4,5 every other week or something like that. Build some suspense...
I don't know all the details but there were 60 million worldwide subscribers so far this year. In 2014 Revenue = $5.5 billion Net income was a quarter billion and equity almost 2.
That's just not how Netflix does things. Binge watching has been a huge part of their growth the past few years.
anyway they would do it is gonna dissapoint someone. whether they come out weekly like tv shows, or 4-5 a week, or all at once like their model is now. No way will satisfy everyone. And they are making billions literally how they are doing it, so im sure they will keep it this way
Hey dickholes, please no spoilers about AoU, including plot points, character reveals, one-liners, and post-credit scenes. If Spidey shows up, we don't want to know. The only thing I want spoiled is if Simmons takes her top off in last night or next week's SHIELD.
So long until May 1st. I'll make the midnight show and then take the kids on Saturday. bartscottcaintwait
