I'll kick off the TV board. Didn't see the Reverse Flash revelation going the way they did, but I liked it.

I think absolutely. It's not True Detective, but it's not some dumbed-down bullshit, either.

But you really would have to commit to both Arrow and Flash, though. And watch the first two seasons of Arrow first, then alternate Arrow and Flash episodes. That would be my recommendation

Foudn this on reddit when someone asked in December:

    • Arrow, Season 1.
    • Arrow, ALL of season 2.
    • Flash episode 1
    • Arrow 3-1
    • Flash, 1-2
    • Arrow 3-2
    • Flash 1-3
    • Arrow 3-3
    • Flash 1-4
    • Arrow 3-4
    • Arrow 3-5
    • Flash 1-5
    • Arrow 3-6
    • Flash 1-6
    • Arrow 3-7
    • Flash 1-7
    • Flash 1-8
    • Arrow 3-8
    • Flash 1-9
    • Arrow 3-9
    • Flash 1-10
    • Arrow 3-10

    • Christmas break

    • flash 1-11 *Arrow 3-11

    • Flash 1-12

    • Arrow 3-12

My only qualm is that I wished they used a whole hour on it.

I would've liked to have seen what happened between when he got stuck to the part where he's staring at Wells and his wife on the beach..like how he figured out that he needed to get to Wells and how his plan would impact the future. Then how he adjusted to being Wells and taking his life over.

Still a very good episode and this show has really surprised me with how good it is. I got into this show because of Arrow and like it better than that now. With how they build things up, the next 5 episodes until the finale should be pretty intense.

As for your spoiler, I am sure the writers will complete the circle before the plotline reaches its conclusion. IMO, that whole reveal was to wet the tongue of the viewer, and these shows have consistently given a payoff.

While I am confident most of your questions will be addressed, I doubt they will all be answered. The show IS guaranteed a second season already, afterall.

I really enjoyed the bromance between Ray and Cisco.

    Comics spoiler

With Cisco's memories surfacing from the other timeline and Barry bringing him back with his powers, they are really starting to build to him eventually becoming Vibe.

TheGrifter didn't they show him in the suit during the previews for the second half of the season?

anyway very good setup episode. I didn't really get the point of them telling Eddie the secret just to get him to lie about Mason Bridge, but seems that's what they're using as the catalyst for the stuff with Barry so I'll take it.

fucking hate this, it really hurt this week's ep for me. i hate the "can't tell you my secret identity because it will put you in danger" thing all comics do. but i especially hate it how this show is doing it, considering iris has been in tons of danger, sometimes because she doesn't know barry is the flash. hope she finds out asap

I expected her to have a flash back like Cisco had with wells at somepoint. I thought she would have one when Barry told her he just wanted her to be happy

TBH, I expect the season finale to have her have a flashback (no pun intended) and realize Barry is the Flash. Barry eliminates Wells somehow and Wells reveals to Eddie that he is really his descendent and Eddie somehow takes the mantle of Reverse Flash since he will be jealous Barry and Iris are together.

I also expect Eddie to kill Joe as Reverse Flash setting up next season.

Probably my favorite appearance from Laurel ever. So much better when you're not an insufferable cunt.

Come to think of it, last weeks episode of Flash with Felicity was her best appearance on either show in a long time.

Amazing how Cisco makes everyone more lighthearted and fun. I haven't found her attractive since the first season because of her personality, but she was downright sexy in this crossover.

I really like the decision to have everything out on the table with three episodes left. The endgame is going to be a lot more fun when the season finale isn't the team discovering "Wells" secret chamber. That was definitely the last overall lighthearted episode of the season. Shit's about to go a lot darker.

That might have been my favorite episode of the season.

Fantastic one liners by Cisco. I know at least three made me audibly chuckle. They also heavily foreshadowed him becoming Vibe. Everything is out in the open with Wells and his true agenda. The scenes between he and Barry verbally dancing were great. You knew Wells wasn't really dead yet, but it was still a good swerve and sets up Wells releasing all the prisoners to weaken Barry. Iris knows now, and that's obviously going to be the catalyst to her leaving Eddie. Which, after his meeting with Wells, could definitely be enough to turn him dark.

    I loved everything about it.

I guess its hard to figure out with all the time travel stuff, but would killing Eddie make Wells never exist? I know it wouldn't happen, but still.

My favorite line was Joe saying "That's how you shut him up" and those glasses Cisco wore definitely had a Vibe feel.

Having browsed the spoilers, these next couple/few weeks are going to great and interesting.

I guess we don't know the relationship between Eddie and Wells, so he might still exist if Eddie were to die, but that's not the vibe I got from their convo last night. Much more likely that he's tied to him surviving (at least until he has a kid?)

I am guessing Eobard Thawne/Wells would be Eddie's great-grandson or great-great-grandson, or something like that, so using the Terminator as my guide then eliminating Eddie would eliminate Eobard.

yeah, that's what i am thinking as well. what i meant is that eddie could technically be like the cousin to eobard's great-great-grandpa, so we don't know 100%. obviously chances are they'd never do it that way though.

I never get the "can't tell her to protect her" idea that every comic in existence has. I understand it creates drama, but wouldn't any person be safer knowing secret identities? It just seems that love interests in every comic show are annoying because they are written that way to create that drama. Felicity on Arrow used to be a cool character, but now that she is the love interest, every mopey scene she does annoys me.

I used to think glasses were the worst disguise ever, but I have been working in a bar that I also frequent, and I am amazed how many people don't recognize me when I wear my glasses because I don't when I work. But yeah, it's not like Lois doesn't get herself in peril all the time not knowing Clark is Superman.

One thing I like about Marvel is that there aren't many secret identities, other than Daredevil and Spiderman.

Keeping your identity a secret from the public at large and from your enemies makes sense. Keeping it a secret from your loved ones absolutely does not

"Keeping it a secret from your loved ones to protect them" is a stupid comic trope, and it always has been. It's not like Iris hasn't been in danger like a million times this season without knowing Barry is The Flash.

I actually think it's the opposite. Wouldn't someone be MORE protected if they knew you were a superhero? I mean, they'd obviously then at least be aware threats out there might come for them, as opposed to just wandering around clueless waiting to be kidnapped and used as bait.

I guess maybe if you knew someone had a tendency to be reckless you might not want to tell them. Like maybe he's the type of guy to get belligerently drunk and pick bar fights knowing he has a superhero to reluctantly back him up
