Original owners of Mario's in Jax Beach are back from retirement. They just opened a take-out pizza joint in PVB called Tony's. Tried it over the weekend & was
What was the deal with the old location(s)? They opened a second location right down the street from the original then closed it. Then they opened the new location again and closed the old one and then closed the new one again? And there was one in Neptune for a while? Shit was confusing.
I'm pretty excited about my Dad coming up this year & walking the course with him... It's the 1st time my mom has "allowed" him to come since they changed it to Mother's Day weekend
Friend of ours works for Bacardi and got tent passes for us... I unfortunately have to work while my wife gets to enjoy and open bar
Two students shot aboard school bus, suspects sought http://www.firstcoastnews.com/story...4/students-shot-westside-school-bus/27320559/ WTF
The bus, Birnie Bus Services No. 915, serves the following schools: James Weldon Johnson Academy Career Training Center, 1840 W 9th St Mattie V Rutherford Alternative Education Center, 1514 Hubbard St Grand Park Center, 3225 W 18th St. And someone got shot aboard it? Noooooo...
Take them over to Shands... That's just routine over there. I was in there yesterday selling them some shit and that place was left behind in the 70's... Also hilarious that the Swisher's of Swisher Sweet cigars were a huge part of building that hospital. We were in the "swisher" boardroom. Straight out of the 60's/70's
dblplay1212 , did you enjoy your burrito at lunch? And why were you and that dude sitting on the same side of that booth while the other side remained empty?
I went to Riverside Arts Market last Saturday and it was awesome. Hot, but awesome. I always forget how much I like that place.
Think you have me confused. I had a chicken salad sammich for lunch and sat with 2 guys and a gal, all on their own side of the table.
Yea, it's insane. And apparently that restaurant in it is really good. It's the same people from the Cummer. Which has great food.
Went there this past Sunday for Brunch with the wife & kid. I was pretty disappointed in their corned beef hash & the wife's crepe was poor. Step daughter got the ricotta & lemon pancakes, which were a hit. Loved the decor/concept & the menu looks great, but the food wasn't up to snuff. I'll go back again to check out their dinner menu, but doubt I do brunch there again
It's not bad, but getting lettuce in place of cabbage is a must for me. It's a far fucking cry from burrito gallery.
I've seen dblplay1212 driving over around Mandarin, unless someone else around here also has a lifted Saraha wrangler
Just saw them featured on an episode of The Profit tonight. Crazy the transformation they went through.
Anyone going to the Intuition Beer/Food pairing featurning Kenny Gilbert as the chef? I know his involvment at Nippers was short-lived, but remember being impressed with him on Top Chef... considering doing this, despite Intuition
I'm also trying out their "port of call" bus program this weekend. They have a bus running from Engine 15 which is a 10 min bike ride from my house to the game and back, seemed too good to pass up
They've gone downhill, fast... despite strong initial offerings. Their attempts to do anything unique or interesting either are terrible to start, or become terrible with the constant tweaking. They've had quite a few excellent beers, but have ruined them over the years. Their basics offering(People's, I-10, Jon Boat) are okay. They seem content with getting those on as many shelves as possible & being slightly better than Bold City.
While we're on the topic, what is everybody's favorite local? Personally my fav is the Double Drop at Engine 15
Though i thought the dry hopped oktoberfest at Green Room was pretty good, not as good as double drop tho
Lactic Zeppelin @ Aardwolf San Marco Sour @ Aardwolf Hipster Popscicle @ Aardwolf Gose @ Aardwolf Pretty much anything @ Aardwolf E15 has some good beers... Simcoe IPA is When I'm at Greenroom, I drink beer from any brewery other than Greenroom... I want to like them, but their beer is pretty poor.
