Had a FB update today, Les is filming new episodes right now. So far he's done India (was tree'd by a Tiger) and Oregon.
Yea, I've watched probably every other episode twice, but the big foot stuff is laughably bad. What the fuck was he thinking with this? And I'm not starting a thread on it, but I tried watching Dual Survival. Those two dicknoses are embarrassing. They are smart and know their shit, but it's so staged it's terrible. Survivor Man and Naked and Afraid all day...
They ruined Dual Survival when Cody got replaced. 99% of the fun for me was watching Cody walk around in neck deep snow in shorts and socks or having an emotional breakdown over a nasty pool of stagnant water. I will watch anything Les does though. He's great. I don't care much for the bigfoot stuff but I still watch.
I just think he's better than that. It kinda makes me think less of him. I understand the mindset that maybe Bigfoot is real if you're out in the woods doing survivorman a lot. I'm sure unexplainable shit happens all the time. I don't fault him for being like "maybe it's real." But it's an entire other thing to base your program around it, knowing damn well he isn't gonna find anything every single episode. I'd rather see him get out of a sticky situation when he's by himself. Part of it has to be age. It's gotta be exhausting trying to survive out there while making sure you get great footage.
To me it's no worse than the ones he filmed with his son who couldn't have given a shit about the show.
Stroud was on rogans pod a few weeks ago. He talked a lot about how silly this Bigfoot dudes are and ripped apart Grylls and the dual survival guys. I love survival shows and will watch just about anything. That pod is worth the listen
That was a great episode. The fact he was stoned was pretty funny too. The India tiger thing was terrifying.

Recorded it. Another one of those? Ugh. That last episode of last season almost ruined it for me. That girl was the fucking worst. She almost died and I didn't feel bad for her at all.

I liked the old tree hugger though. He was pretty bad ass. The Army Ranger dude was in Ultimate Survival Alaska and is a total badass.

I hated joe. Grady is dope. Fell asleep watching last night and watched the rest this morning. Bill is just the worst. Grady eye rolling all his tree hugger shit is hilarious.
I agree, but it probably wouldn't create much conflict between the two - which is the whole point of the show. Bill is an uber turd, but he probably makes for more entertaining TV than two cool dudes that just get along.
I hate when these survivor shows pipe in drama. I'm fine watching two guys trying to survive in the woods without trying to out badass the other guy. That's why the original survivor man type episodes were so good. It's interesting on its own without piping in a bunch of bullshit.
That said, I laughed my ass off when billy badass kept bragging about his fire skills last week then couldn't get one going.
Then sobbed like a little bitch this week when he finally got it. I really hope he dislocates his ankle in an episode coming up.
Sidenote: did anyone watch Dave Canterbury's new show with the English guy and tubby Elvis looking fellow? Not enough survival stuff to really keep me interested but Dave looks and acts like he's lost a few screws since he got booted from DS.
