News has completely changed the form of the team. Won 5 out of 6 and now are going into 2 big away games with Forest and Hull.
Berg and 3 others are out at Blackburn. http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/rovers-announce-management-changes-562206.aspx
Forest will be on their 3rd manager of the season. McLeish lasted 41 days before parting company with the club today.
Somehow Mark Hughes is only 14/1 for the job. The owner is 16/1. Adkins, Billy Davies (was fired in the summer), Owen Coyle, and Roy Keane are the bookies favorites.
NotFawazAlHasawi @FawazHasawi I can confirm Billy Davies has agreed a long term deal at Forest by signing a 2 month contract with the option of a 3rd. #NFFC
Sky Sports News @SkySportsNews Nottingham Forest have appointed Billy Davies as their new manager. More on #SSN
That hire could've been a lot worse but why not go after Nigel? I'm stunned that no other Prem team has sacked their manager and brought him in already. Is there any chance Villa sacks Lambert?
God this is depressing http://www.expressandstar.com/sport...fans-told-tough-times-wont-last-in-new-video/
The Championship playoff/auto promotion race is just outstanding this year. It is so tightly bunched up there with big match ups every week recently. Brentford are currently up 0-1 at Derby, which would see them leap frog Derby in the standings. If this result holds and Wolves win or draw later today then Derby will drop out of the top 6.
Bent scores in extra time to draw Derby level with Brentford, so unlucky for Brentford as they really deserved all 3 points. They were the better side by far
Give me Bournemouth, Norwich and Wolves out of the current teams in the running. I miss the Canaries.
Yeah, that was pretty shitty. Was really hoping you guys would take advantage and solidify a top 6 spot yesterday.
?? They have oil money. They're buying their way up just like Leicester. Watch for them to go straight back down.
Eh, they strong armed someone to get Callum Wilson too. It's just shameful that you have a 2nd year Championship squad paying 30k+ to Jones. Brentford would rival Derby for the worst Prem team of all time, although I agree it'd be fun to see them go up. I'm hoping for Watford, Norwich, Wolves somehow.
is it common for recent EPL teams, like Blackpool or Wigan, to fall from grace and get relegated again? what's up with those teams edit: didn't know Blackpool was last in EPL in 2011
I don't think anyone would blink an eye if they did, they're average sized even by championship standards. Newcastle was relegated a few years back and it was a big deal, if it happened again it would be a huge deal.
Wigan was extremely close to promotion last year and I can't find a way to explain how they're a game from being relegated now. Blackpool's owner has pocketed their parachute payments and they nearly started the season with 4 players contracted to their first team. They were always going to finish last this season. I feel awful for their fans after getting to enjoy Holloway putting out a beautiful product in 2010-2011.
They signed from Wilson from League 1 after they sold Lewis Grabban to Norwich. Grabban is the better player right now so don't know how that is indicative of oil money. And you're not going to convince me that paying Kenwyne Jones 30k a week is some atrocity that is ruining the league. He only has like one goal for them anyway. /leaveBournemouthalone
Watford promoted and if Bournemouth win on Monday they're essentially promoted due to their superior goal difference.
Bournemouth beat Bolton 3-0 today and essentially secured promotion as Middlesbrough has to win and make up 17 goals plus have Bournemouth lose their last game..
