Anybody seen The Following with kevin bacon? it's on Netflix and I see it all the time staring at me so I'm thinking I'm gonna try it out. Anybody seen it?
Not to be the thread police, but 1) there's a thread for that show : http://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/the-following.120731/ 2) in the past these type of inquiries go in this thread : http://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/tv-industry-news-general-discussion.120822/ d) it's a silly show but fun if you turn your brain off
Not ashamed to say that I still watch Nashville as one of my guilty pleasures. Hate to say it, but Hottest TV Mom Tami Taylor is starting to look a little old / rough Probs to her for no plastic surgery though
I mean, I can and do watch a lot of nasty shit on tv. For some reason the hoarding shit and the squalor they live in just get to me.
I agree. It is like a car crash I can't look away from. Just thought it would be perfect for this thread.
I love Chicago PD. Not as much typical procedural cop show as you would think. Plus Jason Beghe is the coolest character in TV.
Netflix has been on a good run with original programming lately so I figured I'd give Hemlock Grove a shot. What in the fuck am I watching here?
Outlander definitely deserves its own thread, the show is phenomenal and has the most fucked up villan I've ever seen on TV.
Does anybody watch naked and afraid? This uppity vegetarian housewife is. With this really weird borderline psycho dude. He's not scary psycho but weird I've lived in the wild live off the land off type if dude. Anyway - he's REALLY good at trapping rats. He's eating all day. Probably the best anyone has ate on this show ever. She's repulsed by it and he's having a field day with it. Cracking me up
Started watching it with the wife. Thought it was going to be a love story; nope. Been surprised by the quality tbh. That British guy is a major POS.
They are only doing one more season. Very interested to see where the story goes with those army looking dudes that appeared at the end of last season. Show has real potential to go another 2/3 seasons. Want to see the chick get back to her present.
Im interested. I love shows that have running plots instead of most shows on TV where you could miss 5 episodes and know everything that is going on.
Yesterday my roommate started the show "Weird Loners" on Hulu. It sucked but I watched all 6 episodes due to couch inertia. Today I learned the show was immediately canceled after its 6 episode run.
Just watched the pilot of Dark Matter and it's pretty good. A bit clunky in spots but I'm gonna catch up and see where it's going. Not sure I'd definitely recommend yet, but it's fairly intriguing.
I did the same a couple weeks ago and have caught up. It's not a must watch or anything, but so far - it's the best show syfy has put out in a while. Granted, it's an extremely low bar. There's a little bit of discussion on it in the sci fi thread. I really really hope they dont fuck up The Expanse Series.
Comedians will not be back. First episode was awful, but the show grew on me as it went in. Had some good moments sprinkled throughout the season.
I watched the first couple episodes, but I've lost interest. Are you enjoying it? I might give it a second shot.
If you are willing to go back in time, SOAP is the shit. Show was awesome. Hilarious, first out there dysfunctional family. Really was Arrested Development before Arrested Development. Classic show that everyone should give a sit through. Even cliff hangs you even as a 30 minute sitcom. Way ahead of it's time both socially and comically.
Would like to add that when you think SOAP ran from 77 to 81 while you watch it and wonder how it was on a major network. As you watch the show it's amazing to think ABC put that content on in Primetime in the late 70s.
