I do agree it would be nice for fan support taking the hometown guy, but still gonna get a great RB and better value. A lot of the Gurley hate is coming from Ga Southern, Clemson, Auburn types that somehow have found a way to have penis envy for their State's university/city.
You know he's dogshit when articles have titles like this: @SBNationNFL: Best part about the Beasley pick? He's a lifelong Falcons fan. Via the @TheFalcoholic http://t.co/So3u1AiJWj http://t.co/bZZQ3hJ13B
Dear Dawgs, please direct all crying about Gurley not being taken at #8 to your team thread. He's a great player but it's equally stupid for Atlanta to a back this early. At least Beasley can potentially fill a major need.
I trust the coach. Great pick. Lol but, seriously, Quinn got the best pass rusher on the board, so I'm happy. Want to see what other off season moves we make on the line. Quinn has made a great living finding value, so I'm sure he has some acquisitions in mind.
Or the Gurley hate is coming from the fact that some of us doing think the answer to the defense or O-Line is another RB.
exactly, and dude doesn't have the motor you want either. Disappeared when I watched him in the few legitimate games clemson played this year.
A RB is not the answer to the team's main problems right now. I have no clue how Beasley will turn out, but I do believe that we aren't going to have a decent running game with an O-Line that had a million injuries last year.
This is akin to Georgia being out of it until week 11 when Florida or Scar gets upset and then immediately becoming a national championship contender again.
6'3 245lb 4.5 40 vs 6'3 246lb 4.53 40. Atleast by measurables and best skill as the speed rush coming out of college
I'm more mad about taking Beasley than not taking Gurley. He was a reach at 8. Could have gotten him in the teens.
