Gunners HOOSINSC D. Silver enjj DelapThrows Hey Fam. Got us an OL. I'm happy. Looks like we have a solid shot at getting a CB, S or DE in the second. Collins, Gregory and LSUs CB all there. Thoughts?
pls no collins. i'm more than fine with the pick. of course i'm overlooking the value of the players still available and we possibly could have traded down and still landed a very good OL prospect. either way drafted for one of our biggest needs and that is a change of pace.
Scherff pretty much needs to be all pro to justify that spot, needed OL though and should give Bob a chance to succeed this year Hopefully we get a sexier pick today.
Happy with it. Was nice to see Williams at the 5 spot and I thought sweet. And if Skins decided to trade down scoop a pick or two and still fill a need even better. But had they not taken Scherff there he would have been taken shortly there after and if you think he is the best player for you at 5 don't think twice. Grab him. BPA going forward as long at the are db's.
I mean, its a need but a RT who might even slide down to OG at 5 is a bit steep. They never even brought him in for an interview. Could have traded down a few slots and still gotten him but I'll live.
Yeah, OL is never a crowd pleaser, but out OL outside of Trent has been dog shit for a while. Form reading most GMs comments around our pick, no one wanted to trade up. Zero trades until 15 or where ever the Chargers jumped up. We were just kind of in a shitty spot.
I'd be Happy with Gregory at #2 or trading back in the 2nd and picking up a 3rd. I worry some about Collins and Bama players being hurt/overrated. Any other S in the second available?
I like Cameron A. Payne in the 5th or so as a 3rd down back. Little Homer, yes. But he catches the ball well
I get that we need a WR with size, but what about that OLB from UVA HOOSINSC Is he worth a high second?
Definitely worth a high second. This draft has been loaded with tweener DE/LB guys. he was always viewed as a 2nd round guy or 1st if someone fell in love. he's a tremendous athlete and a good pass rusher. Mario Edwards being 1st team over him was a complete joke(really mario edwards being 1st team was a joke, a few guys deserved that spot over him).
Agreed on Mario... he was much better last year when he was fat. He lost weight and didn't get any quicker.
image: http://walterfootball.com/images/fball/redskinsb_logo.gif Washington Redskins: Preston Smith, DE/OLB, Mississippi State: B+ Grade The Redskins lost Brian Orakpo this offseason, so it's not a big surprise that they added an edge rusher early in the 2015 NFL Draft. They selected Trent Murphy last year, but Murphy, Ryan Kerrigan and now Preston Smith can form a stout rotation. Smith was pretty underrated throughout this entire process. He's an athletic edge rusher whom I thought had a chance of sneaking into the first round. Read more at http://walterfootball.com/nfldraftgrades2.php#b5PJBW0GU5ytdV6X.99
I like him, rotoworld guy absolutely loves him. Both him and Scherff are really good athletes without much risk.
SPIN IT. I LIKE IT. I'm 100% on board with Scherff....more I read on Smith I'm good with it. 1st two picks we addressed OL and pass rush. Ok ok ok. Could we go for the trifecta and get a S in the 3rd?
I'm thrilled with the first 2 picks. Filled 2 huge needs. Take the best Corner/Safety with the 3rd rounder and i'll be ecstatic.
Would anyone be upset with another OL this round? TJ Clemmons (OT) AJ Cann (OG) Tre' Jackson (OG) All still available. Djoun Smith best avail cb
There goes Smith. I'm completely find with another OL if there isn't a DB. I'd be Ok with Tre Jackson
I don't know what to do with this smart draft. I feel like we should go sign Vick to a 3 year deal just so I can have a "normal" offseason
