Because this is chess, not checkers, and confident chess players can move powerful pieces into dangerous spots. The entire point of LF's character is that he's an expert at the game of thrones and plays it at an entirely different level than anyone else save a few people and he's so good at feigning his strengths that practically everyone underestimates him. I see Sansa as a two-pronged attack because she's potentially deadly for Ramsey(directly or indirectly) and bait for Stannis. The wedding between Ramsey and Sansa will clearly reach Stannis and there's no way he'd allow the Boltons to legitimize a claim to the North. I'm fairly certain LF will become Warden of the North and if I had to place a super early guess I think something will slip way down the line that he kicked off this entire chain of events and Sansa will find out and kill him for it. I think that's her end game is to be the one who eventually gets LF because she's the only one who could get him to drop his guard and he'd never expect her to be the one to kill him. He spent his life chasing after her mom and now her, it only makes sense that his lust for a Stark/Tully does him in.
This guy is pretty spot on in his review of the last episode and brings up interesting points. I'm sure you've all seen some of his theory videos on YouTube. He does a fair amount of shitting on the choices made by the show. I'm not quite as negative as him but he does a good job of showing just how ridiculous some of the plot changes are. 3rd episode review
Good point, now that you mention I think that is a really strong possibility. They have been dropping greyscale/stone men hints left and right so far this season and since Jorah is the only one on board with Tyrion then that is a really good assumption.
I do. And I've seen people mention how dany said "never touch me again" and after getting greyscale he won't be able to.
Clearly it won't be all sunshine and roses. After the first 5 books that much is clear. So long as there is just some sliver of redemption for House Stark then that would be cool.
There's no way they've built up the stonemen this much for them to have already passed them. They're finally on a boat now and are defintely about to get some stone action.
or they just change the story to have it in a different place. Of all the changes they've made, this one is miniscule and actually makes sense.
Stone men would be awesome. Could someone re-fresh my memory on how the books went. I remember Tyrion meeting up with Jon Connington & "Aegon", and then the stoneguy jumping on the boat and Tyrion going under. Did someone on the boat save him, and then he went into the brothel where Jorah took him? Can't quite remember how that whole thing went down.
That's right. So it would make sense for Jorah to be the one and save him and get gray scale. However, the preview for next week's show shows Tyrion and Jorah looking up at a dragon which seems to be much further along in the story than the stonemen part.
But an episode that begins with Tyrion & Jorah coming in contact with stonemen and ends w/ them seeing dragons would be fucking awesome. Wonder who they might use to release the other 2 since Quentyn isnt in the show. Pretty sure it wasn't Drogon in the preview.
I like the preston Jacobs videos and he is pretty on. This season so far has left a really bad taste in my mouth.
One positive from this season, is I have gone from full on hatred of Brienne and her story to full on fan since she (hopefully) is saving Sansa.
Did I not pick up in the books that Shireen got Greyscale via a doll bought from a traveler, or is that a show thing only?
In the books its hinted that it's something that happens in damp environments. I think they even say it's somewhat common to Dragonstone.
this week's Storm of Spoilers podcast was outstanding, really set up the rest of the TV season (though one prediction (bronn's death they went on twitter later today and says a source from the show says it won't happen which is INTERESTING), interested if anyone else listened to it and had any thoughts on it
hmmmmm sorry I downloaded it via iTunes so never thought about a link but looked it up and here you go http://fightinginthewarroom.com/category/storm-of-spoilers/
So you don't like Brienne but you're a Sansa fan?? What Also... Rape ape starting that diaherrhea at the top of the page with "chess not checkers" caused me to throw my phone across the room.
The casting for Melisandre was just so spot on. Like the actual character, Carice Van Houten and her immaculate breasts don't seem to age. Patiently waiting for the gif NSFW Spoiler
She's straight fire. She sits on your lap bare breasted and pussy galore and I'll tell you this much I'm not following you if you turn it down.
Don't see the issue. Everyone has different opinions on characters. Some people don't care for Jon Snow's story. Some people hated book 4, some people loved it. Etc etc. I know I'm not the only one in here who didn't care for Briennes story too much. I guess I'm one of the ones not hoping to see the brutal rape/torture of Sansa.
Don't know if this was posted or not but as for the "kill the boy" line Spoiler UPDATE: It looks like this one has already been pulled not two hours after I posted it. It involved Jon and Aemon sitting at a table in Castle Black and Aemon saying thusly to Jon: “You will have little joy of your command, I fear, but I think you have the strength in you to do the things that must be done. Kill the boy, Jon Snow.Kill the boy. Kill the boy….” Also the behind the scenes leaked
Listening to it now. At the point of the big spoiler for this upcoming episode. I believe it happens.
Would be awesome. Hard to picture how it would work out, considering one is at the southernmost point and the other is basically at the northernmost point of Westeros.
Looks like GRRM's editor is whining about the show. I have 0 sympathy because everyone knew from the jump the show wasn't going to simply follow the books point for point. Stop whining and tell the old man to write
Arya will clearly be killing off a major character. I'd be ok with Sansa. I've always been more inclined towards Stannis though Spoiler especially now that Tycho and him have agreed that Stannis will take on the Iron Throne's debt
No reason really. Just a random guess. You know there's gotta be another "you've got to be fucking kidding me" moment coming at some point.
You think they'll show all the faces hanging there in the house of black and white? would be nice and gruesome
One of the trailers that had them in the same body of water, I'm pretty sure you could see a stone man off to the side barely.
