Gonna have a bunch of spare time this summer, but there seems to be hardly any games out right now that I'm interested in playing. (Seems to be not a lot of games out in general when next gen consoles have been out for like 2 years) Anything good coming up people are excited about this summer or the rest of the year for that matter?
Witcher 3 in 11 days. Buy it, play it. Should get you through half the summer. I'm #teamPS4, but I think Elder Scrolls Online is with both. Comes out June 9th, is the first real MMO to go platform. That could get you through a year if you're into fantasy fiction/rpg/mmo stuff.
I would avoid ESO. That game didn't fair very well in it's beta testing. I'm waiting on The Division whenever they decide to release that.
I'm getting the witcher on the 19th, Batman after I'm done with Witcher, and Metal gear in September. I expect all these games to be outstanding and take hundreds of hours each.
Elder Scrolls is Elder Scrolls. I don't expect anything ground breaking so it'll be difficult to be disappointed. Not having a monthly sub might hurt it pretty badly though.
That's disappointing. The trailer looked incredible and they have been working on it forever because they said they "wanted to do it right." hopefully they don't fuck it up.
I certainly won't fault anyone for buying it if they want to, and enjoy it, but: 1. Probably gonna end up paying over twice the original price of the game 2. It won't all be out for months and months after launch. From a principle perspective, fuck. That.
It would likely be like bf4, didn't they sell the collectors edition that came with it all for ~20 more or something when it released?
Some of the stuff from the old games, like space battles and galactic conquest/story mode, they've already announced they're not doing.
I would. However I would not like to pay $30 for more content/missions that should've been in the original game. It's a bad precedent that's getting out of control. Similar reasoning to preorders. Releasing unfinished, buggy games.
As a primarily PC gamer I don't mind bonus content. I don't buy many games when they first come out so its cool to grab a game with 5+ dlcs for $10 during a summer sale lol I bought the season pass for dark souls 2 because I loved the game so much. But I usually pass on most.
