Down here for the week going to Universal. Before the crash I remember you guys talking about 4Rivers so I just tried that. Pretty good, similar to City BBQ we have up in Ohio. Had the pulled pork and burnt ends with mac and cheese, green beans, baked beans and cornbread. Also got the banana dream pudding. Lots of food, didn't finish anything
i always hear mixed things on the coop but just went a 2nd time and it was just as good as the first and this is with about 8 dishes total i will say it's probably $2-$3 over priced but haven't had any bad food yet
i'd suggest First Row but that's long gone and i only went as a kid so maybe as an adult it would be shit
I went with my ex once there and apparently the waitress wanted a piece of the Jigga (she was very obvious)and did something to her food. She got sick on the way home to east Orlando and shit in my car on the 408.
I had looked it up online and it said the Browns backer bar is Pour house so though about checking with them
Poor House is meh. Used to go there all the time with family to watch games, then the owner/manager started doing some shady shit (ie. charging us for drinks that we never ordered) and we stopped.
Called them today to see if they get Cavs crowd and decided not to go Me: I see you're the Cleveland Browns Backers bar, do you get crowds for Cavs games too? Her: Yeah we get a crowd so its a gold atmosphere but it doesn't get too crowded Me: So Cleveland fans come? Her: Like...during football season? Me: No for the Cavs games, like tonight? Her: Oh yeah, come here tonight. I'm skeptical and will probably just go to NBA city
Place has died over the past couple of years and it's pretty much all because of the owner/manager. Her daughter used to run the place and it was in its prime then. If you want a decent bar and are into craft beer, check out a place called Crafted. It's in the same plaza in MetroWest as Pour House. Not really a sports bar but I'm a craft beer guy and they have a ton of options without the younger crowd at World of Beer. They have some TVs set up and I guarantee they'll have the game on. Menu isn't huge but the food is better than normal bar food. Here's a link. Menus are at the bottom of the page... : http://www.craftedorlando.com/ If that doesn't sound appealing, what are you looking for in a place? Perhaps I can help. NBA City is fine, just kind of a pain in the ass to get to and I'm sure you'd like to get out of the Universal area.
NBA City is what I'll do tonight, we are staying at a Universal hotel so get free shuttle over to City walk so not really a pain to get to. Will be looking for somewhere Thursday probably to get away from Universal to a sports bar to watch, doesn't seem like there's a Cavs place to go. I'd be fine just watching at the hotel if we got away tomorrow night somewhere. My wife is trying to figure out what she wants to eat so if you have any recommendations let me know. Don't have anything specific I'm looking for other than nothing too far from Universal since I'll have to take Uber back and forth and nothing I have to dress up for. Pretty much only have shorts, tshirts and soccer jerseys
You're probably 15 minutes away from the craft beer place that I mentioned. Also look into a World of Beer near you. In terms of good food for a reasonable price, that's not a phenomenal area- lots of chain restaurants to appease the tourists. A lot of the better food is either downtown or on the east side of Orlando, like Winter Park for example. Show the wife the menu from Crafted and see what she says. Food is very good, FWIW and it's not a dress-up kind of establishment. Go in wearing jeans and a t shirt or whatever and you're good. It's laid back.
Don't know how much the uber would be, maybe $15, to get downtown but you should do it. Get dinner at Artisan's Table on Pine St then hit one of the like 90 bars downtown.
If you are looking for a certain type of food let me know. Rusty Spoon is one of the other better ones downtown.
Appreciate the help, I tried looking at those and on Urbanspoon for things downtown and told my wife we could go literally anywhere. She said she wanted to go to City walk, I told her those would be generic places, she choose City walk and chose Vivo
I talked to an IRL friend and SkRoUsE and ended up going to Ale House since it was so close and he was going to try to meet up but couldn't
Appreciate you guys help. Sorry I didn't use it. We were so tired from walking all day for 3 days in the sun we just wanted something close by to get back quick and go to bed

It boggles my mind whenever my friends come down to visit this time of year. Even when I tell them how shitty it is in the summer. They still come and complain about how hot and humid it is, and it's not even June.
It is really hot. I walked to work today and was just dying. Going to be another rough summer which is probably good for me.
Universal Orlando to build a water park opening in 2017 ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Universal Orlando Resort is building a water park. Construction has begun on Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Resort. The new park is expected to open in 2017. It will join Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure at the Orlando theme park. Universal says the water park will be an immersive experience themed on "picture-postcard tropical islands." It will be located within Universal Orlando Resort, just south of the Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
Will be an Orlando resident as of July 1. Trying to find places to live in the 1300-1400 range for a 2/2, 3/2. Can't find quality stuff downtown or along 408. Help?
Don't know exactly where you're wanting to be at but we moved into grandeville at Avalon last year. Haven't had any real complaints. We had no clue about Orlando when we moved and I travel for work. I can be on 408, 528. 417, and I-95 fairly easily from here. This isn't where we're going to be long time as we're building a house in viera but it has served us nicely.
Downtown a 2 bedroom is generally 14-1800 and 3 bedroom is 18-2400. I got lucky and got a 2/2 for 1200 but don't see anything like that around here anymore.
My roommate is at ucf and my office is downtown. so somewhere north of 408 but south of maitland between those two.
