Moving to Thursday night? Hope it helps viewership... This show is phenomenal.. The only show I enjoyed more last season was True Detective.
I normally hate horror themed movies/shows but absolutely love this. Just a credit to the amazing casting, acting, and cinematography.
It is, without question, the most "complete" show on network television. Every facet of the show is spectacular. First season was fantastic, but it really hit its stride last season. Cannot wait for Season 3.
Hopefully it didn't blow it's load for the first two season, I really hope they continue with a great story line.
As much as I love the story, I'm amazed by the cinematography. It's just ... beautiful, week in and week out.
That really puts it over the top for me. It manages to be artsy without being pretentious. It hits the perfect balance.
Alan Sepinwall @sepinwall 3m3 minutes ago Can't decide if I would love Hannibal more or less if I could understand 100% of what Mads Mikkelsen says instead of 80%.
Listened to Sepinwall's podcast yesterday and him and Dan Fienberg were both raving about the start of season 3. Gets going tomorrow, can't wait.
Listened as well. Cannot wait. Sounds like the quality of this show is still high. Also had encourage remarks about how little NBC actually spends on the production on that show. Which means a) it doesn't hurt them to keep it despite poor ratings B) I would think it would be pretty easy for a netflix or someone to pick it up if NBC drops it.
I thought it was Italy, a Di Laurentiis production. But their company might be Canadian as well. Whatever, no fucks given, unless it's to Giada.
I know it's shot in Canada but not sure about the rest. On the pod they made it seem the NBC pays for very little if any of the production. I'd eat Giada if you know what I mean.
Jesus, here we were discussing Hannibal and it didn't even occur to me that it's back freaking tomorrow! I'm out of it today. But that's very exciting
In the pod they said they're starting to set up red dragon, so I'm pretty pumped. Also said a significant character from the books/movie that's not Francis Dollerhyde is introduced, but I can't figure out who that is.
Got it set to record, this will be the first season I watch during release. First two I binged on in 2 weeks a couple months back.
Well, one positive of this game being a bit of a "blowout" right now is I can switch over to NBC at 10 and watch live tonight (at least for a while)
Observing, or participating? Really solid first episode. It's amazing how good Scully still looks - and she did a great job last night.
Are we to believe that Bedelia said something to the guy that Hannibal killed at end of the episode that lead him to being suspicious of Hannibal? It seemed that Hannibal was blaming her for forcing his hand right before he killed him.
Watched it twice, listened to sepinwall's podcast and read his review. Still not entirely sure what exactly was going on except that he killed a museum curator and assumed his identity.
From what I could tell.... Spoiler In the past, Bedelia realized what Hannibal was and dropped him as a patient. Then, she killed a patient that attacked her. Hannibal used this information to frame her into both keeping quiet about him and taking him back as a patient. Flash forward to the aftermath of the season 2 finale, Hannibal flees with Bedelia. They go to Paris, where Hannibal meets British dude. He then moves to Italy, kills curator and assumes a new identity as curator. British dude who knew Hannibal by different name in France comes and realizes some fucked up shit is going on. Is intrigued. Gets killed.
Watched it last night, enjoyed it quite a bit. Just happy to have the show back. That said, I'm ready for next week so we can get the other characters back in the game.
Maybe one of our Italian friends could translate her order? I know paisanos love their rabbit but damn it's still weird to see the Easter bunny hanging from the ceiling.
Gillian looks good in the Fall on Netflix as well. Also about a serial killer. It's pretty good, if you haven't seen it yet.
