Honestly, this is great an all but I would rather have more interactive content than just a bigger map size. If that size includes more buildings as well, than that is awesome. I do think it will, because just the sheer number of buildings in Boston, plus these images, makes me think it will be an awesome place to explore. Spoiler
I'm honestly leaning towards a PS4. Only thing holding me back is the fact that you cannot just plug in an external harddrive (which you can do on X1). You have to actually replace the whole thing.
GTFO with PC vs console. I played both on 360, as well as Skyrim and they were all great games. Idgaf about "mods."
100% agree, it just makes me nervous tampering with that after spending $400 on the system. Will most likely end up with the PS4, though.
its not about mods, the games were never made for console. never mind dual-stick FPS being garbage, Bethesda(and Interplay before them) isn't a console developer. the ES series and Fallout are meant to be played on PC, you're just selling your experience short if you go console.
you can do that on PC lol I don't get enjoying dual-stick FPS though, that's just not my bag. to each his own, though. I'm doing a playthrough of Oblivion atm since it's been 5 years since I've played it. also mods aren't typically a dealbreaker but they're generally fantastic for these and they add a wealth of replay value and other fun. the time and effort people put into them can yield fantastic results.
I fail to see how my experience playing the game is affected by the difference of a controller or keyword and mouse. I'm still playing the same fucking game. If it was something like Elder Scrolls online I could understand your point. But I play fallout for the story and that remains unaffected by the platform I'm using.
Bethesda decided to forgo the secrecy and announced Fallout 4 ahead of the show, and reinforced that it will be a new-gen only title released on PS4, Xbox One and PC only, leaving Xbox 360 and PS3 behind (and the Wii U, which is sadly obvious these days).
What time is this supposed to happen? Right now all I'm seeing is Nintendo World Championships at E3 on twitch
Lol, people on the twitch chatbox are losing their shit because they, for some reason, thought it was going to start at 8:30. It says specifically on the ad at the front of twitch that it starts at 6:45 pacific, and the title of the actual channel says 7 pacific. Their outrage is real.
Damn, how does anyone follow that up this conference? Bethesda knocked it out of the park. Day 1 on Fallout 4.
The pipboy phone app just seems lame and gimmicky to me, and they admitted as much. I'm interested in the Fallout Shelter app, tho.
I mean, it seems cool if you have the pip boy skeleton if you are a huge nerd and want to fully experience the game
That could not have been more amazing. I know it's fan-boyish but I will buy that fucking collector's edition to get the Pip-Boy. That adds to the immersion for me and will make a baddddddddddd ass Halloween costume the next year. Just holy shit. I've never been so relieved and happy about game news. That was a giant love fest for us fans.
@Polygon: Update: Fallout Shelter is now live on the iTunes App Store. Info about Android version coming later, says Bethesda: http://www.polygon.com/2015/6/14/8780117/fallout-shelter-base-building-game-coming-to-ios-tonight Coming later, hopefully soon
