What is the point of using braided lines? I understand the test and strength is great, but IMO regular lines can do the job just as well. I fish all the time and rarely get backlashes, but with braided lines I get them more often it seems. Also getting a backlash out with braided is a son a bitch. It's expensive but if I am to use it I like spiderwire.
Power pro and Sufix. Benefits are strength vis a vis line diameter and smooth casting. I really like braid but have also gotten backlashes more often and having to use backing is annoying. Overall prefer braid but mono is also just fine.

I don't think you can mix two wine coolers and a cider and call it something. In somewhat related news, it was like 85 here last weekend and I went to the liquor store to get beer. There were a couple of sunburned 50+ year olds who were clearly coming for provisions from a boat or beach party in there asking for, with specificity, "Seagram's Wine Coolers in the cans with the wide tops so we can pour them into glasses."

higher tensile strength at a smaller diameter. abrasion resistance is very good, retains more strength after being nicked than fluoro or mono lines. when I use braid, i usually back my spool with fluoro or mono and then tie 50 yds or so of braid onto the backing.
Braid also lasts longer for me. Also there's no give in the hook set. Also can be good depending on the depth you want to run because it's lighter than mono. I bought reels that don't need mono backing and just use braid and then a fluoro leader if I'm fishing for anything toothy. Love braid.
