Dwyer in for the first time in weeks. The Zusi false 9 with a LB and rookie at the wings wasn't a promising front line trio. Who would of guessed.
Fucking 2-1 (Crew scored in injury time) loss at home to Montreal after 3-0 loss to Philly. Awful week. Hoping Parkhurst missing most of Orlando match and Philly match then Pogatetz sitting tonight will help going forward. Herman Grana being homesick and going back to Argentina has been a nightmare Trapp coming back would be great, not that Tchani and Saied are the issues but rotating them and just the energy into the team having him back is needed
Nagbe having one of those games where he dominates every time he has possession Too bad Valeri has been out for so long
Yes and No, he is a better target but his finishes have been shit for most of the year. Fumbling runs causing turnovers, not sticking wide-open shots on goal, etc. Urruti has created a ton more chances and has done a better job of finishing. I like the rotation they have right now and Fernandez for the first time ever hasn't sucked the last 3 games. Nagbe just needs to make a fucking shot, guy creates 2-3 chances every game that are just nuts. If Valeri can get healthy I'm starting to like what I'm seeing, and the defense this year>>>>last year. We will see, the west is so fucking stacked compared to the East.
Picked a good night for my first NYCFC game. Goals from Villa, Mix () and Poku . They should start paying me to go to games imo.
Good match between Portland and Seattle. Both teams bringing their A games which is nice to see. Valeri is such a stud. Only issue is the douche Seattle fans that keep standing in front of the camera in their crap "stadium".
Martins getting carted off. Looks like multiple knee ligaments have been destroyed. Seattle down to 9 men.
3 red cards, Martins ambulanced away with broken ribs, a 3-1 loss and a nice showering of the timbers bench in half filled beer cups, solid showing tonight sounders.
http://fusion.net/story/151967/clin...ter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=soccergods Wondering if Dempsey might be suspended for 3 months.
Got to catch the last 1/3 of the game, such an entertaining ending. Timbers are really starting to come into form and besides one fuck up by Kwarsey he had some early spectacular diving saves. Always feels good to beat the Sounders.
Who decides the penalty here? MLS? US Soccer? FIFA? Saurez got banned for 4 months for a 3rd biting offense. This seems ridiculously minor in comparison. Really should just get suspended for the rest of the Open Cup.
I was wondering what happened cause I missed it too. I thought he just got up in his face and got a straight red for it.
I doubt he gets the ref assault even though that is the description of it. If he does though I would say it is definitely not baller to get suspended 3+ months
If he gets suspended in anything outside of that pointless tournament then it's a complete joke. If you want anyone to take the tournament seriously then maybe start using some competent refs. Better yet just scrap the whole thing because it's a tournament that no one cares about.
Only the team that wins it acts like they care and that it's anything more then a non story. It also happens to be the only tournament Seattle can actually win, though with Donovan gone maybe they can actually get by LA this year.
Yes, he should be suspended. No, it shouldn't be for 3 months. Use your fucking brains. The ref was complete dog shit. It doesn't excuse his actions but I'd be surprised if you guys could stand in his shoes and not do anything after seeing 2 teammates sent off and then having to play another man down because of a shitty injury. I'd be frustrated too.
Calm down. 3 months is coming straight from the rule book and was tweeted out by soccer reporters earlier today. There is this however that says 3 or 6 games depending upon if it was ruled ref assault or ref abuse Policy 202(1)(H)-2—Professional Leagues Policy Against Referee Assault Section 1. Misconduct against referees may occur before, during and after a match, including travel to and from a match. Section 2. For purposes of this section 2, a “referee” shall include the referee, assistant referees, and fourth official. (d) Match. For purposes of the Assault Suspension and the Abuse Suspension, a “match” shall mean any official match of that individual’s team in the Professional League Member for which there is paid attendance, i.e., regular season, playoff, officially sanctioned cups and tournaments, and international games played in the United States. Section 3. This policy shall apply only to players, coaches, managers, club officials, or league officials while participating in Professional League Member activities. The Assault Suspension and Abuse Suspension (the “Suspension”) shall preclude the suspended individual from participating in any soccer competition until the suspension has expired.
Cosmos beat NYFC on PK after a late goal to tie it. Charlotte beat NE. All other MLS teams advanced at US Open Cup except aforementioned Seattle.
Seattle twitter account tweet later that night: Seattle Sounders FCVerified account@SoundersFC ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 4:02 AM - 17 Jun 2015
Just finished watching the Orlando City/Charlotte Battery match from last night (on YouTube). Insane match, and worth fast forwarding just to see the 8 goals (23 if you watch the PKs at the end) 2-2 after regulation (OC getting a soft PK to tie it in the 70th) 4-4 after OT (3 more PKs in OT, one totally undeserved for OC, Rivas had a hat-trick entirely from the penalty spot) 8-7 in kicks from the spot after that, OC advances.
Jason Kreis sucks, terrible subs with a 2-0 lead and had them sitting back on the lead when they were dominating. Then has somebody named Pablo Alvarez take a PK in extra time instead of Mix, Alvarez hits the bar .
I was at the game. Fun game to watch in terms of goals, but ughh with the level of play overall. Jimmy Mauer was awesome in goal. Special shout out to him, because he trains the goalies in my soccer club.
Sad day when South America shows more integrity than MLS. The ref was probably a cunt but 3 games is a joke.
