Idk why fests are insistent on putting acts like Van Halen or Black Sabbath as headliners. They wouldn't have been relevant 10 years ago. Makes no sense.
Hell yea Mclovins finally getting on a festival card. Saw them over Thanksgiving last year and they were pretty awesome. Worth checking out on Spotify if you like some funky rock with a little brass
Reunited black sabbath would probably headline any festival in the world. Maybe it makes sense because it is a legendary band reuniting for one last stretch of shows?
They're just not that good to begin with. I saw them at ozzfest '05 and they were really fucking old and mediocre. Add ten years to that....no thank you.
Well, that's kind of the issue facing festivals nowadays. If you're calling a Black Sabbath reunion a mediocre headliner, I'm not sure what headliners you would actually get excited for. So many acts have cashed in on the reunion / classic festival circuit over the last decade, that how many real white whales are left for US festivals? Zeppelin, Bowie, Talking Heads, the Smiths (all probably not happening) then the Stones and Daft Punks return (I bet each will play a US festival in the next 2-3 years, Daft punk have played plenty a decade ago but the return is being built up like crazy) Outside of that, it's just regurgitating the same top headliners. Off the top of my head, I think the only headliners of any US festival in 2015 who hadn't headlined a US festival before this year were AC/DC (cool booking, great show at coachella) and Drake (bad booking). It's just the same pool of headliners rotating for fests
Festivals haven't tapped into the pop scene as much as possible and it scares me that is what is coming next. As the kids that were 14-15 a few years ago start hitting the 18-21 age range. Taylor Swift*Rihanna*Bieber*One Direction etc...
All Good Music Festival looks dope as fuck. Cake is such a strange one to throw in there, but I would watch. Fashion Nugget is a good album
Cake has a fantastic discography. Fashion Nugget is great. This is a great lineup. saw the last all good in WV and it was a fantastic place to see the a show. This and hula are winning the festival season thus far.
Paradiso was hot as shit, but awesome, guys. My fav shows of the weekend were Snails, Yellow Claw, and Da Tweekaz (had no idea who they even were beforehand -- electronic music elitists stay away from them). Dash Berlin surprised me, Dyro, Green Velvet, and Pegboard Nerds were also to my tastes. Pics in spoilers... Hope they don't ruin the page Spoiler Picture during Snails I'm not really sure how it's possible to beat this venue, highly recommend adding it to your bucket list. I took this one from the beer garden next to the stage.
I want to see a list of all of the camping music festivals in the USA each year. Like I'd have never heard of Camp Bisco if someone didn't tell me about it.
I haven't been paying attention to music festivals for over a decade, and I'm the only person I know who likes them, so that would make sense why I hadn't heard of it. http://www.intotheam.com/blogs/news/16517641-top-10-camping-festivals-in-the-us Fuck Coachella though.
I'm doing 3 festivals this year and here you are making me feel like shit for Bisco not being one of them..
Look out for a fat, bearded, curly haired asshole running around fucking with strangers wearing an unbuttoned fsu Hawaiian shirt, sweating in spite of the 65° weather.
I too have a beard, I might just stroke my beard until you find me..as we all know it works like that.
I told my gf I'd grow my beard out while I'm camping out in NorCal. Should be interesting by then. Myl ast trim of the year was two weeks ago. gonna look awesome in my suit at the wedding I'm going to in SoFla the weekend before hula.
