I mean the 24th pick usually isn't worth much either and it's gonna save us on the tax. It really doesn't bother me
You're overreacting. Tyus Jones wasn't going to make a difference. If it makes you feel better that is who Axelrod wanted so he might be upset too
If this was the nfl I would understand the outrage. Other than Anderson from Virginia I didn't really care
Ford likes him @chadfordinsider: Cedi Osman was, to me, the best international prospect after Porzingis & Hezonja. Nice pick by Cavs. Big playmaker from Turkey

Jonathan Givony @DraftExpress 5m5 minutes ago Cedi Osman is under contract for two more years and has stated his intent to finish his contract in Turkey before coming to the NBA in 2017.
I just don't understand the philosophy. David Griffin said specifically he wants to make the team younger then his first two picks are guys that aren't going to be on the team/play for the next 4 or 5 years.
Hmm - bizarre to me. Thought either Hunter or Jones could break the rotation next year and we take a pass. Whatever, not going to get bummed too much about the draft though, this team wasn't winning the 2016 title tonight.
Wait, aren't we keeping Christmas? He's ready ASAP He's a four year college guy who was co-ACC defensive player of the year last year with nine boards a game... sounds like a backup forward to replace TT...
I'm looking at him as an insurance policy if TT or Love walk. Pretty obvious they are going to try to trade for a backup PG/combo.
I took it as younger in the sense of people who are going to play. The last two 24th picks were Napier and Hardaway Jr neither would help this team. It also saves on the tax bill. As much as Dan said to pay it. I have a hard time seeing him being on board to pay the garunteed salary of a 1st and the tax associated with it for a guy who wouldn't help. When griffen says younger I m thinking like Aminu who just opted out in Dallas on an mid level and who ever they can get for Heyward. What rookies in last years draft would of played on this team? Wiggins and Parker Payton possibly is that it? I just don't see his younger comments meaning the draft unless for some crazy reason a person they were high on fell.
I'm terrified of choking away another shot at a title because Kyrie gets hurt again and we have to watch some shit bag point guard stumble over himself trying to keep up.
I agree we need insurance for Kyrie no doubt. I just don't see in any scenario other that DeAngelo or Muddiay being able to fill that role on a championship level team.
Like I said no rookie was going to help this team in the playoffs. They need to add veteran backups with the mle and Haywoods contract. This team doesn't need to add much but some more depth would be nice. Biggest thing for next year is making sure everyone is healthy when the playoffs start.
I know this stuff is expected, but kinda pointless IMO Brian Windhorst @WindhorstESPN 4m4 minutes ago LeBron James has notified the Cavs he will opt out of his contract and become a free agent, sources told ESPN Brian Windhorst @WindhorstESPN 3m3 minutes ago James is planning to re-sign with the Cavs but will wait and see how the team's free agency plays out over the first weeks of Jul
There's that. But the cap is going to jump next off season. He'll sign a bridge deal to get him to that , hold them hostage to sign everyone he wants and then take a max deal. At least that's what all the experts say.
Makes sense to me. The Cavs are going to be loaded. I'm curious to know how eager they are to sign Love, or if they will spend the money somewhere else.
They won't be able to spend the money elsewhere. It's either love or nothing because they will be over cap regardless. They can only resign thier players and give out tax payer exceptions to ring chasers
Sam Amico reporting that Love has told cavs he's coming back Sam Amico @AmicoBasketball Kevin Love has indicated to Cavs recently he plans to return. Cavs also hope to execute Brendan Haywood contract trade quickly after July 1.
What type of trade are they looking for with Haywood? Salary dump for an expiring contract, or a contributor?
The Haywood contract is like $10 mil non guaranteed so they're probably looking for a team trying to dump salary so they can bring in a contributor.
