ACC take two teams. SEC take 2 teams. BIG take 2 teams PAC take 2 team. -Baylor can fuck off and die. Sorry Tops -Texas goes independent because they think they are better than they really are, then whole AD implodes and become worthless. 4 16 team conferences. Each with 2 divisions. Reduce season to 11 games. No FCS games allowed. 8 game schedules. 3 cross Conf games with matches changing annually. 6 team playoff with #1 getting byes. 2 wild cards. Obvi SEC +1 other. Praise Jesus
Deloss Dodds is gone and the past 3 years have been a huge kick in the balls for our entire AD. If the Big 12 implodes I think Texas is either the first or second school to join another conference.
Srs if the Big 12 were to explode and Oklahoma ended up in the B1G West I would blue myself. Yearly OU-NU game again?
Thought I read somewhere that your current AD is a PAC 12 whore and is pissing off all the coaches and boosters
B1G East Ohio State Penn State Michigan Michigan State Maryland Rutgers Indiana Purdue B1G West Nebraska Oklahoma Wisconsin Iowa Minnesota Kansas Illinois Northwestern
fwiw texas wants to think that it is actually notre dame. i imagine texas ends up in the ACC. definitely will not be joining the SEC and its third-world academics.
Oklahoma is a dead athletics program without access to Texas HS athletes. The only move, if there is one, is to go to the SEC. Pac will only expand with Texas and I don't see the Longhorns accepting equal footing in our conference.
Patterson was the ASU AD prior to taking over at Texas. I think the part about him pissing off boosters and coaches is somewhat overblown, but he definitely is dramatically different from Dodds in that he doesn't spend 90% of his day stroking off the big money boosters and has stated all along that he would want to cut some of the bloated spending in the athletic department. The big money boosters were the ones that hired him, so this can't come as any surprise to them so I think a lot of it is coming from McCombs and Jamail continuing their hissy fits now that they've been collectively told to shut the fuck up and also Chip Brown who's lost all of his sources in the AD that used to feed him BS info on the team, realignment, etc.
Notre Dame is a full member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Spoiler In all sports but Hockey and Football. Football is like really tight step brothers who understand they'll never be blood, but they have each other's back anyway. So, that's good enough.
Can somebody please take Oregon St and Wassu? They pretty much serve zero purpose except for this guy:
Pac 12 was the choice last time and the b1g has way more to offer than the acc. This is assuming it would be equal revenue sharing in the acc and that the acc wouldn't take all of the shit texas schools to.
In a forced situation Texas and ND will ride or die together. Years ago the two schools touched tips, came to understand each other's love of themselves and have ever since loved each other's self love.
You midwestern assclowns already dumped(some pun intended) the Aggies and Mizzou on us. I'll have no more of it. The SEC is like America at this point. It's not that we want to keep getting involved with your constant bickering about areas of the world no one cares about...but you keep forcing our hand.
Ive never even heard of the B1G being seriously discussed. Those discussions have been had about the ACC. Maybe thats because there hasn't been any communication between anyone and the B1G, but Texas fans would riot if things heated up in that direction. There wouldn't be a reaction like that to the Pac or ACC.
Can michigan join this alliance. Could also invite ucla, usc, unc, duke, Stanford and Virginia. Would be the most smug and arrogant conference in America.
I actually misread your post but I somewhat agree with you. If we went SEC then it would help our recruiting big time. Hell, joining the SEC made TAMU appealing to recruits when before the SEC they got 3-4th pick. Pac 12 would likely help as we've spent a tremendous amount of time recruiting Cali the last 5 years.
Haha, actually that is very close to the super secret "airplane conference" that some ND fans thought may happen in the first alignment go around. I think it also included FSU and a couple other "A" football schools for balance.
i am so excited for our texas posters to join our #toptier conference brotherhood as soon as it becomes official, we will be distributing orientation packets.
We could have the publics and privates divisions Publics UVA Texas UM UNC UCLA Privates Usc ND Duke Stanford Vandy or Northwestern So much SMUG
Unless Oklahoma joins the SEC we're most likely getting NC State and Va Tech in the future once all the craziness starts again.
