Our last 2 signings have been superb... No way we can make it 3. Most Liverpool fans fear it will go to Benteke
And we could afford those two when we bought them. That doesn't make any of those moves good business, though.
I know you guys could because the Bale sale. Not saying its a good price at all. Thing is that we have 3 homegrown players on the roster and there's been word 3 more were being promoted. We have to pay the English premium to buy within the league and everyone knows it. Sterling is who they wanted and Liverpool knew they could draw their line in the sand and we would have to pay. We still need another and I'm not sure who it'll be since Delph turned us down.
YedIin "Back in the day £49m got you Zidane now it gets you Sterling." Well back in the day £4.7m got you Alaska now it gets you Benjamin Stambouli 7/12/15, 2:01 PM
The Canuck that runs Southampton had me convinced they weren't going to get raped and pillaged this summer on Men In Blazers. With Europa to worry about, I don't see them coming close to matching what they did last season.
Stupid career move IMO. If he would have gone with Man United he would have at least gotten a chance to prove he can be their number 1 keeper after De Gea's inevitable transfer. Courtois will be at Chelsea for ten years, maybe he's content with only playing Capital One and FA Cup matches.
It's a shame to see how many would rather get paid more (you're already making way too much to the point that there's no excuse for you ever depleting your finances) and sit than to play the game they supposedly love. I'd think if I were a pro, I would go for a consistent club where I know there might be a threat of being displaced but I'd at least get a chance to win a job or defend my own.
There are really only two clubs on the planet that a good goalkeeper like Begovic would get zero opportunity to play and that's Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Makes me respect Cech for wanting to leave a place where he's a legend so he can actually play.
I get that thinking but I also understand wanting to win. I didn't see united making a play for him and with Cech to arsenal, they are the only title contender in the EPL without a gk once de gea moves to Madrid. No idea what kind of offers he had overseas but maybe he wants to win for a year or 2 and then move on?
Isn't there a minimum number of appearances a player has to make to get an EPL winners medal? Can he really call himself a champion if he has nothing to do with it? Playing every game on a Stoke team that finishes in the top half of the table would feel more rewarding for me.
He might be rebuilding the village he had to flee as a young boy. Contractors there are notoriously slow and like to drink a ton. I researched this through both wikipedia.org and from watching House Hunters International. I have to watch House Hunters International because I force her to watch Stoke/Norwich on Saturday mornings.
Rather than rot on our bench he can be in a relegation battle and be sold off next Summer when Villa is in the Championship
I have some friends who are about to be on this show. They moved to Fiji with 4 little kids and no house yet. They are dumb. Somehow they found a decent house and ended up filming for the show. It should air before the end of the year.
Sold off to a team that will play him. He recently got into England. Not saying it's deserved, or he's good enough for it. But he needs to be playing, so power to him for not chasing the $
You could surely add a 1 in front when dealing with city. 37M is more the going rate of an Andros Townsend with the precedent they have set.
How real do you guys think this is? I'd be ecstatic if we could sign him. http://theironscircle.com/2015/07/14/west-ham-close-to-agreeing-striker-fee/
