Cascio and Paterson grossly overpaid Ribeiro and Boden grossly underpaid So Shea and Collin's deals were bought down to non-DP level, I'm assuming. I don't understand how Rochez counts as a DP at that wage. Interesting to note that we're the 4th highest paid team but without Kaka's salary, we're the 3rd lowest paid.
Starting 11. Ashe with his debut. Ceran and Larin back from Gold Cup. No human rain delay GK: Tally Hall LB: Corey Ashe CB: Sean St. Ledger CB: Aurélien Collin RB: Rafael Ramos DM: Cristian Higuita DM: Darwin Cerén LW: Carlos Rivas CM: Kaká RM: Lewis Neal FW: Cyle Larin
Check out Tenorio's twitter....guess there was issues with the Kaka loan that could be fixed with a deal........
I'm furious with the officiating of the past month. MLS needs to fix this and not just because of us. We've gotten some bullshit PKs awarded to us and I've seen a lot of fuckery in other games. It's swinging the league way too much.
Best atmosphere of the season. So Higgy is suspended for MLS dumb 5 yellow card rule. Of all the rules that might be the dumbest one. MLS refs are just failed NFL replacement refs. Constantly out of position, missing easy calls, and general fuckwittery that ruins matches.
Yep. He's apparently very quick to give them, too. http://tc-mls.com/2015/07/the-four-...-for-50-percent-of-all-red-cards-this-season/ As the URL says, four refs account for half of the MLS cards this season. The fourth official that gave the red tonight is one and I'm fairly certain the one that sent off Kaka is another.
Yeah he was the head but I thought he was advised by the lineo on that side that Kaka stepped on the player. I could wrong as there was a lot of booze during that match and since.
Heath came real close to losing his mind in the post match conference. Only a matter of time before he just snaps. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/spor...eath-not-happy-officiating-20150718-post.html
Heath had to hold back so much there. I can't imagine how helpless he feels caught between the fans and the fines. He really does have his hands tied behind him with giving an opinion on the officiating but he's right. The calls both ways have been wrong for most of this season and it's an absolute fucking joke. Referees truly shouldn't matter. You should be able to plug one in and know that the game will be played with the same outcome and pace that another referee would dictate. That's not at all the case. We, as fans, know which referees to dread. I'm sick to my stomach trying to watch my team succeed because they aren't being allowed to.
They are blowing the big calls and that is the problem. No issue with the guys letting them play or the ones that call the littlest things fouls. You know who they are and what to expect before the match. It is the same reason that I groan every time I see Mike Dean's name assigned to a City match. The radio show on Tuesday should be awesome as Heath will likely lose his shit and say things he shouldn't either on the record or off the record. Lost in all this stuff is how big of a gapping vagina Sacha Kjestan is. Absolute tink out there.
Also anyone care to explain how Abang did not get a 2nd yellow at some point? 4 fouls in 30 minutes of play should be worth it on the persistent fouling added up process.
Fuck Kljestan. He's a cunt. He tried to go to LA but Columbus was 1st in the allocation order and he wasn't a big enough DP for them to just let him go where he wanted a la Bradley and Dempsey. He backed out and said he wasn't coming, we nabbed Kamara then he said he'd come because he could go to NYRB. Fuck him. Worked out better for us, Kei is playing fantastic but I'll still hate Kljestan for the rest of his career
The red was pretty bad but I thought it was easy to see why it was called. He went in spikes all the way up, the ref, from his angle, couldn't see that neither connected and the dude flopped like a fish. Not really defending the refereeing as a whole (just now starting to watch MLS regularly and that may be my biggest beef with the league), but after watching the video it was unfortunate but didn't seem like one of the most egregious reds I've ever seen, the way it was described to me.
It was the 4th official that made the call for the red card. Not sure why he is making the call since the ref had a clear view of the tackle (1 of the few times last night he was in the proper position but that is another story). But Unkel loves being the center of attention. Hopefully we can get him removed from any future matches for a long time. Can only guess they used the "serious foul play" definition. Which just makes it even more hilarious given the nature of the challenges that happen in a regular match. The appeal will likely be upheld because MLS/PRO are not going to want the refs to get any more heat after this weekend.
Freed up some cap space and brought home some extra allocation money so I'd imagine the Ganso deal is currently on.
Deal is official now. Statement says it all. http://www.orlandocitysc.com/post/2015/07/20/orlando-city-trades-amobi-okugo-servando-carrasco
Paulo Freitas @Cynegeticus Orlando City reportedly took São Paulo to Justice as SP owe them US$ 4.3m related to Kaká's deal. They can end the case if they get Ganso.
We either get our money or our player. It is nice of us to let them pick. Sao Paulo is shopping Ganso in Europe first to try and get more money but dont see anyone taking a chance given his performances the last year or so.
It gets better when the details keep coming out. They did not play the two friendlies that were in the contract. Also there was some sort of revenue sharing agreement involving the matches Kaka played in. Hopefully this is all over quickly and we can see Ganso on August 1st Paulo Freitas @Cynegeticus 2h2 hours agoRio de Janeiro, Brasil São Paulo have until Thursday to accept Orlando City's proposal (SP give Ganso but get US$ 1.89m) reg. the US$ 4.3m São Paulo owe them.
It will be a trip to Philly for the semi final if we beat Chicago tomorrow night. They won PKs after playing down a man for 80 mins against NYRB.
I think my favorite part of this club is the ownership/management/coach aspect. If only the Magic ever had such a thing it'd be incredible.
In completely unrelated news; it has been rumored that certain refs enjoy fornicating themselves with rusty nails.
Following reports on Tuesday that Orlando City put in another offer for Sao Paulo midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso, in exchange for $1.8 million and a complete forgiveness of the debt owed to Orlando from Kaká's loan last season, Globo.com is now reporting Sao Paulo has rejected that bid. Orlando City reportedly placed a Thursday deadline on Sao Paulo to accept the Lions' proposal before the team gives up its pursuit of the player, moves on to other transfer options, and takes the club to court over the late dues.
Just a fucking no-brainer from their perspective. You take it and you move on. You're in a shit load of debt and Europe doesn't want Ganso.
