Finished A Canticle For Leibowitz the other day and it is one of the most amazing stories I've read. His vision throughout several centuries of post apocalyptic man and our rise again was extraordinary. The fact is was written in 1959 gave me a new perspective on it in the middle of reading it. Now I'm onto 1776.

It's very well written, even if you don't necessarily agree with some of the statements and beliefs he espouses. Plus you can read the whole thing in like two hours.
