I imagine they are just as much affected by that fire as Cosmo with how dark that was and how much it must freak out people that see it. They want the center strip to be the place to be and showing a bit of goodwill prob God a long way. Half their rooms are prob empty so why not invite them over to spend money. I don't mean to sound cynical, it's realy cool of them, but it makes all the business sense in the world to do so.
The gaming community is a small community. All of the employees know employees in other casinos. Most have worked in several of them in their careers. We all want the industry to do well. But, its all about the well-being of the guests in the end.
We are about 95% capacity, so no rooms. Yes, it makes business sense, but the vast majority of us are very into hospitality. This factor is the biggest driver of the assistance.
I've noticed that with club employee as well my uncle bounces at lax and since that place blows we never go there but he'll get us into any other club (foundation room is really all I ever do) thru other bouncers
recs for a bachelor party dinner that can hold 25-30 people? groom is filipino and apparently they roll deep best man is relying on me to do most of the coordinating since I spend the most time there
Was playing 1/2 nlh and Got overstacked by a kid tonight for 675 and I'm fucking furious. The floor manager let him keep my money and wrote a report for his boss to decide if they want to pay me.
It was a 200 max buy in table he secretly added 550 to his stack a couple hands before playing me which allowed him to cover my entire stack
Should be on camera. If unethical (and I don't know) you can always file a complaint with the Nevada Gaming Commission.
Pit boss said since I brought it up to him 5min after the hand all he could do is write a report to let his boss handle the situation and ask the kid to give me my money back. The kid outright admitted to it and said he was stuck 1k so why should he have to give it back to me. He left with my money and will most likely be banned by the poker room. i do know one of his friends he was with and am trying to get in touch with him. cause maybe he can talk some sense into him. prolly not though
The kid is the shitbag here, but it seems to me like the time to raise this was before you were committed all-in. It seems hard to me to secretly dump a rack of reds or a stack of greens onto a 1/2 table and not notice, and whether you called his all-in or raised all-in without knowing what he had behind, it seems like you bear some responsibility here. It certainly wouldn't have been an issue from your perspective if you won the hand. Not in the industry so I don't know what the procedures are, but I'd think the casino should refund you $200 and I don't think the kid owes you anything.
I missed a couple hands going to the bathroom and wasnt paying full attention to the hands I wasnt playing. He used 100 chips that were staked behind everything and if the dealer wasnt a total retard he should have caught it. I wasnt going to accuse someone of cheating unless I was sure.
It's not accusing. There are three issues now here. 1. Not having your big chips visible to other players. 2. It's going to be quite obvious he did something wrong because 1/2 tables do not use $100 chips. 3. It's not accusing him of cheating if you just ask "when did you get all that money?" If he says he added them you can say right there you aren't paying him.
Got it. I worked at JCKC and Big Bend Jai-alai a long time ago. The Gretna venue came along after I left FL.
If any community ever needed an economic stimulus, it's Gretna. Town was always pretty fucked up. JCKC and Big Bend Jai-alai were fun to work at in college.
Apparently the fire was caused by some asshat flicking his cigar from his balcony. I fail to understand how some people do not grasp the fact that there are people and things down where they are flicking their smokes. They don't just disappear in mid-air.
Just wanted to stop in and say that every year I go to Vegas I stay at Planet Hollywood and I have absolutely no complaints. The hotel is great, the fountain view rooms are awesome, it's cheap as shit and its centrally located. 5*, love that place.
I'm not the one booking it but my friend is looking at Flamingos and Ballys. Which one is better? Please also factor in location to the good spots Similar pricing so that's not a factor.
I will say that the upper end rooms at Bally's seem to have something for them. Personally, I do not know...but those who have had the experience seem to lean this way...
Agreed, but I think that's based on perception vs. reality...and I am a fan of a company that competes with them.
