Yea your interest would be as a secondary target for de Bruyne and I think you get de Bruyne but you can't list someone for sale and not connect him to city/United/Chelsea. That is transfer rumor 101

Will post the same response I did in the City thread:

I mean that's the number we've been throwing out all along. €45m is about £31.5 and his release clause is £32.5

If we wipe away the Negredo debt instead of paying them and them still owing us we got maybe the best CB in La Liga last season for Negredo + £10m. That is pretty laughable but not on our end

If someone posted lol dogs about that I wouldn't defend it because I'd agree. Someone was laughing at this deal. That seemed silly

Laugh at our entire 12/13 Summer window. Laugh at what we gave for Sterling. Don't laugh at this deal

Chelsea potentially spending over £80 million on Pedro, Rahman and Stones would make the Tottenham post Bale money seem wisely spent in comparison.

I think a LB and CB were always in the cards but how we're getting there doesn't feel right. Pedro is a panic buy but we should have known Cuadrado wasn't the solution for awhile now. I'm not sure what the hold up was. Now rumors of another CM as well with Mikel potentially gone.

Seems like the board was ready to stand pat until we got outplayed in our 1st two matches. Some offense out of Pedro and Rahman would be nice. We grinded out a ton of games in the 2nd half of last season, hopefully these moves make a difference.

I think Mane is nice, personally. Not sure there is a club that wouldn't take him. I'm sure that what he's going to go for will be insane though and Soto will stand pat because a certain club funded them for the next decade. Do you know what they are asking?

    I don't see the problem?
    • Baba is one of the top young fullbacks in the world
    • If bought, Stones could be a cornerstone of the Chelsea defence for years to come
    • Pedro is class and would help out any team

I think so. They are loaded with Mids and he could play out on a wing. They have what Wayne, Chicha, and Depay? He should definitely get some time.

Apparently a domino effect might happen with fullbacks:
    Digne to Roma

No. I guess I'm just wrong on how much time he would see on the field. I just don't like seeing young guys who play week in and week out go to bigger clubs and rot on the bench.

even if he would never play, isn't that still like the opposite of a panic buy? buying a guy you don't even need.

to me a panic buy is buying a subpar player to fill a hole at a position of need.
