Enjoyed watching Sugartits get put on his fat ass repeatedy. Disappointed at how they apparently decided to separate Reggie. I think our idea of him being behind the blackmail would have been much better. Overall, an enjoyable episode.
Wait, did I hear that correctly that Reggie gave Angie (the blackmailer chick) a ride home and tried to fuck her? THAT'S how they try to separate Reggie and Vernon?
the baseball scene was one of the most ridiculous things i have ever seen. the throwing out the first pitch and the rock dropping a casual "thanks commish" was absurd hahaha
The first pitch reminded me of something out of the 7 Days of Hell show when he just nailed the shit out of the photographer
it came around a little bit for me. just obvious awful scenes. I think the Rock plays a good role. He is believable.
I enjoy the show, it's not great by any stretch and has its flaws but there are enough entertaining scenes to keep me watching
I want to see what happens from a business standpoint. I like the little WR too. As for the dtackles friend manager, they need to make him realistic. Not well spoken. Get him in some shit.
Decent show but there's some shit in the writing that I feel is just lazy. For example: "He's an all-pro 265 pound defensive tackle." Motherfucker there's probably not a 265 pound DT in the NFL, let alone an all pro.
I think its more them being ignorant, but they hired Mendenhall to look for this. One detail I noticed is that during the first pitch, The Rock was introduced as a "Dolphins Legend" and he played there from 2007-2010. That is 3 or 4 seasons depending how its counted. 1) who becomes a legend in only 3/4 years? 2) they seemed to imply he played a long time and retired due to age, not a severe injury. So he played elsewhere and came back to Miami to finish up his career.
Not to mention Sugar Tits is being billed like a HOFer. Sorry, ain't buying that. The workout scenes were just awful too. Hard to believe an editor left that room thinking 'ok, this is believable" ... The overall shitiness of the production is just too hard for me to overlook. Can't enjoy it. Somewhat excite for Bunny Colvin though ...
based off his body, he doesnt look like a future HoF OT, but how many actors are built like upper echelon NFL players? its like Tom Hardy being Bane, no one could look the part of Bane and play him too. Something had to give. I could let him looking like a regular large, fat, black guy if they built up his character better and had better writing overall.
The acting is the worst part of the show for me. The Rock and Rob Cordry are the only legit actors on the show and scenes without either of them are atrocious.
My complaint is the same as it has been since day 1. way too many storylines for a half hour show. You get like 4 minutes with each character and there isn't enough time for Both character building and advancing the plot
I like the show for what it is. I do have to say that after all the build up it was weak to have Reggie and Vernon split due to some random, off camera event that didn't even make sense. Plus the whole issue was due to pictures of Vernon snorting coke off of some naked chick he'd just met so I call garbage on him all the sudden being appalled that Reggie whipped it out. Also am I the only one that cringes whenever Dule Hill (the GM) talks. Dude is a decent actor but everything about his role from his age to his accent to his delivery is just terrible
the beef between Coddry and his boss is similar. so he threw a wild party? big deal, he's bringing in clients. I don't think most guys in his position would give a rats ass how it got done. How the rock/Coddry flipped positions in the doghouse/penthouse doesn't make sense to me, like we are to assume things happened off camera ...
A lot of the writing is like that. Things that don't really make sense but we're just supposed to accept. And that's fine to an extent because the show is what it is, but some stuff is just goofy.
I never really thought Anderson and Joe got along in the first place. Since the beginning he never really trusted him and didnt really like Joe's plan with Spencer. Also Spencer wasnt in the photos doing illegal drugs and stuff, Joe probably was. Any boss is gonna get mad at that no matter how many clients it brought in.
When Joe asked him to let him borrow his boat he barely did it because he didnt trust Joe. And when Joe is mad because Anderson barely acknowledges him for all the "work" that he has done for the agency. Doesnt seem like a boss who likes him too much. Sounds like a boss waiting for that mistake to fire him.
This show is completely unbelievable. The baseball commissioner at a Marlins game and it's sold out? Unbelievable horseshit.
My first instinct is to mock people who watch this show just to hate on it ITT. Then I remember why I still watch The Walking Dead, and I go back to my corner.
that's a good comparison. if I start a show I normally end up seeing the whole thing through, despite the awfulness. stuck with True Blood till the end too ...
re: Joe and his boss, Anderson. I don't see their relationship as being a stretch or unrealistic. Anderson has put things in cruise control, is clearly doing well, and the risks involved with venturing into signing the stereotypical star athlete loom large in his mind.
I refuse to believe that Bunny fucking Colvin is a piece of shit deadbeat dad but seriously I like him more than I like Ricky tbqh
That finale was hot garbage. It's like this show picked up where Entourage left off. Ricky & Charles are horrible actors. I don't really understand the casting in this show, outside of The Rock and Cordry.
I'm not into picking apart the show. It's entertaining but I realize it isn't the greatest thing. But what I don't get is old Sugar Tits goes from being a regular 9-5 out of shape guy to all of a sudden showing up at Dolphins camp and competing for a job. Dude wouldn't last 4 minutes on the field.
so OL means it's easier to come out of retirement? Cause I can't think of one that's done it in the NFL. Also, he gets owned in the workout, but the GM still picks him up? then gets out on the field first day of camp and blows some dude up?
at this time I'd like to note the lack of titties in the last 4-5 episodes. that was supposed to be one of the shows primary sources of entertainment ...
