Since the old thread was lost. http://www.ew.com/article/2015/04/27/homeland-going-germany-season-5 Maybe Carrie is going to try and set a new world record for shoving bratwurst in her twat. Or something.
Finally got around to last season What did everyone think? I thought it was really good and a great recovery for a show going down the shitter
What was the complaint w the finale? That Saul would just ignore everything and come back to the CIA?
That it was a colossal waste of the viewers' time because absolutely nothing happened and carrie is still alive.
Big fan of Carrie's boss. If you like spy movies, watch The Lives of Others. He's one of the main characters in it and it's fantastic.
season 4 was excellent but climaxed in the next to last episode and the finale is a legitimate waste of an hour of your life. definitely watch season 4
Only problem I had was in the Saul and Carrie conversation. He said that she was being naive and stupid when she wasn't before. Literally the entire show has been built upon the fact that Carrie is naive and stupid. Besides that, it's was decent enough for a premiere. I'm not ever going to expect first season greatness again, but maybe it can keep being a serviceable DVR like it was last season.
i watched last night. couldnt remember wtf happened at the end of last season. any help? also, why dont tv shows have a five minute recap of what happened the previous season? especially when people binge watch shows these days.
End of last season was the episode out of nowhere about carries mom who literally had never been talked about up to that point.
I know that their trying to emphasize that quinn is broken so to speak but there's no way he can do this.
3 minutes into the first episode where they show the guy hacking into the jihadi website: Me to wife: "At some point in this season, Carrie is going to bang that brown hacker guy." That's my prediction. Bank on it, folks.
Carrie stayed in Lebanon to "get a sense of what happened." Goes to her hotel and Hezbollah guy is there to give the foundation's money back since they failed to adequately protect her group. Tells her she was the target, not her boss but they don't know who ordered it because the guy who took the bribe to allow the assassination attempt chose death over giving up who paid him. Saul drops a new target in the mail box in Germany for Quinn. Quinn delivers proof of death on his first target, picks up new target info. Deciphers the message, figures out it's Carrie.
Did the lady that Quinn killed say his name right before he shot her? Couldn't quite make it out. Also the guy that was being tortured for info was the same guy that Carrie met with and gave the 40k to yes?
According to the Homeland subreddit she said "please" in German. He had the message from the mailbox that Saul left. It was a cipher. He gets out the newspaper to match everything up and gets M-A-T-H-I-S-O then stops, kinda does a double take, looks at it again real quick to make sure then drives away. His new target is Carrie Mathison.
she said bitte right before she died, at least according to my subtitles. i really liked that episode
Thanks for clearing that up. I thought she said "Peter". Was wondering if I should've known more about her.
Carrie arranged to have that target package dropped in Quinn's box and the target is actually Baby Mathison...
Only thing I didnt understand was why the guy that refunded the foundations money thought that Cary would return? Why did he think she would stay behind while the rest of the foundation peaced out?
So does it seem like they are setting it up to be that the woman (forget her name) that Saul is sleeping with put out the hit on Carrie?
I would assume Saul and Dar know about the hit on Carrie. Saul is the one who dropped her name off in the box in the previous episode and he's Quinn's only contact. Doubt Saul would be dropping off names he doesn't know. Saul and Dar's convo was about an overthrow in Syria that Saul straight up lied about, as we found out through he and Dar's conversation, to the Israeli guy.
