it goes for everyone ITT, just pm me your address because its a physical coupon. Needs to be today BC the coupon is only good for November 6/7 or 7/8 (I forgot which two days). you can use it online and in store. 25% off order over 200, 20% over order under 200 and I believe you still earn a dividend on it

You have a recommendation for h20 filtration system? Wife & I already have Sawyer Mini, but was considering one of the gravity systems to accomodate larger volumes of water

she is almost 7. we don't take too many hard trails, but she toughed it out on a 3.5 mile loop that rose and descended a good bit. so comfort will be main goal, then price since she will probably be lucky to get a season of use out of them.

nice little view from the top of that trail in DuPont Forest.

She should be fine with trailrunners. Check out REI Outlet, since she'll probably grow out of them in 6 months.

Pearls, Altras, Salomon, Hoka One... lots of good options for her there

Pocket rocket was great for me in the backcountry this summer. Also the Sawyer mini mentioned in the thread, buy an extra platypus or two and you can rig a gravity system if that's your thing.

Figured I'd share this here... I picked up Cascade Mountain Tech Treking poles, based on several reviews I've seen. They are carbon fiber, have sturdy quick-locks & are priced $50-$80 less than comparable models.

I highly recommend them, if you're in need of a set... Here's one of the reviews & like to their site in case you are interested.

Yo I'm trying to plan a trip to Denali for September 2016. 7-10 day trip from Houston. Open to pretty much anything (other than a summit, which I'm probably not able to do and I don't think is possible that time of year).

Any tips on where I should start?

Really good sales going on from the major sites right now purging winter gear. Picked up an Arc'teryx down jacket for 50% off from Moosejaw. Click the "extra 20%" at the top of the page to get just that off the already on sale price.

Anybody have Arc'teryx gear? This is my 1st thing from them.

I have a lot of their stuff but it's mainly from the LEAF collection. For jackets there's none better and I've got two closets full of brands I've tried. Same for some of their other outerwear if it fits your needs. For smaller gear like gloves, gaiters etc I still prefer Outdoor Research. For packs there are better options that are made in the US but if one of theirs suits your needs I wouldn't hesitate to buy.

Edit to add: the arcteryx alpha LEAF edition is my single favorite piece of gear ever. I've got it in crocodile and grey and will probably get the black soon. It's a bit too warm for the summer months imo but if the house was on fire that's the jacket I'd save.

I got the Thorium SV for a lightweight compressible down. Got caught in a blast of winter on my last fall trek and needed a little more beef. A buddy I was with had one of their packs and I really liked it. I don't need a new pack but I loved the simplicity of it. So few straps and extra shit. It was so streamlined. If I needed a new pack I'd definitely look there 1st.

Anybody have experience in Baxter State Park in ME or the White mtns in NH? Planning a trip and Portland is the best airport for me to get into. I'll pay for Bangor if the Baxter area is that much better.
