game is beautiful and plays great. Just wish there was more co-op/story/PvE stuff. As is, I won't get it since PvP doesn't last very long for me.
how valid are my concerns that this will be as deep as Titanfall? I have only heard bits and pieces about the game, and I played a few rounds of the beta yesterday. 40 players seems small for next gen when Battlefield was up to 64/128 players several years ago. How much of a story mode is there? I did enjoy the beta, but my enthusiasm dropped when the Imperial walkers inevitably win. Initially I tried to play the 16 players mode per their recommendation, but it would not find a game to enter. I dropped right into Hoth and got smoked repeatedly, at one point (a near dead) Darth Vader came around the corner and I frantically melee'd him in the face. Also, I buddy sent this to me. http://imgur.com/owXACib
apparently the low level cap helps the imperials. Would be shocked if there arent some cards to use to help against armor. Really enjoyed the game. Preordering it now after having played the beta.
been playing this game. its fucking dogshit. The rebels starting gun is so fucking ineffectual that its not even worth using. the hoth attack map is a fucking joke. it's insanely empire sided. Try to camp and defend your uplinks? orbital bombardment incoming. And that's on the rare fucking occasion you can even make it to the uplink before an ST kills you as you spawn 5 lives in a row. or someone from the empire sneaks behind your spawn and gets in a turret and just annihilates you. Also, your turrets can't aim up so they cant stop you from constantly getting murdered by tie fighters it also suffers from the same flaw as every battlefield/battlefront game. if you're not in a vehicle, you're just fucking cannonfodder whoever is. not to mention, abritrary grinding requirements make you deadweight to your team until you unlock any weapons actually worth using. stupid fucking cawadooty regenerating health bullshit weapons feel totally ineffectual weapon accuracy is shit headshots aren't properly rewarded.
random spread means hitting anyone more than 50 meters away is borderline impossible with anything but the cycler rifle. the horrible ranged performance of weapons means that picking the cannon or pistol is outright better than the two blaster rifles since the only way you can actually kill anyone is up close. The hitboxes are also terrible.
the game is beautiful and smooth... but the maps seem kinda plain. i guess that's the best way to describe it.
Missed the beta, is it as awesome as it looks? bricktop sort of took a shit on it with his review... Titanfall has been my favorite XB1 game so far if that helps with what kind I'm looking for
I don't know what the mechanics are for Battlefield, but I played the beta for BO3 and it was sick. I'm a Black Ops fanboy though.
Did yall honestly enjoy this game? Played the beta and wasn't a giant fan. Think I prefer COD to battlefield in general and I wound spending as much time in the beta as i did in the battlefeild game i plyued
it feels like an incomplete game. that is why I am holding off on Rainbow Six, I could see that getting stale.
I played one of Battlefront 2's campaign the other day and it really just wasn't that good. Although I enjoyed fucking wrecking the droids. I don't really understand the purpose of the clones vs. the droids. A bunch of synthetic beings both made to fight each other. Cut out the middleman and just don't put forth such a gaudy expense.
My point is they have a chance to make a game of the year by mixing KOTOR and Batlefront. Wasted opportunity
