Definitely need this. I love getting a fighter in game, only to die or crash within 60 seconds. Also, finally found one of the special characters last night and used Boba Fett. Got maybe 5 kills with him, I'd like to practice with those dudes as well, is that possible?
picked up the game last night after my roommate got it on release day and i played a match or two. never was into multiplayer games like COD and battlefield, but after playing some destiny and seeing how great this game looked, figured i'd jump in. like it a lot so far. wanted to echo the other guy in here -- how do you get millennium falcon or slave one?
You just have to find them during the course of a match. I did work with Slave I last night and it felt great.
Played for about 30min last night. The graphics are smooth, and I'm pretty much in love. I'll get roasted in multiplayer for a bit but I'll just default to Metal Gear if I want to open world some shit.
Last night I got Luke on the night time Endor map and went sneaking around the woods. I felt like Rambo from First Blood; popping out from behind trees and force pushing storm troopers into a ravine. I'm having a lot of fun so far.
My one complaint with the game is with targeting. It seams that I'll hit opponent multiple times, they turn, return fire once & I'm dead. I've improved a ton, but feel like I'm missing something... Any targeting pointers?
To piggy back on this- any pointers in general, I feel like I'm still trying to play Titanfall running and jumping around, and that leads to a lot a lot of dying.
http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/bat...-lnch&cid=48660&ts=1447965600548&sf42588869=1 that has some ok basic pointers
As for the aiming I'd recommend trying to lead your targets. Also if the pace of the game is throwing you off, like coming from titan fall, try playing in 3rd person. You'll be able to survey the battlefield a lot better and it will help slow you down/use cover.
It's like Battlefield in that you aren't going to last long if you are sprinting around out in the open. Like Tiger Z said, slow down just a little bit and use cover.
Damn just found a hero power up, select vader. Was 1 control point left on the map, force choked my way to the W.
Got it for PS4. Only complaints are lack of maps and customization for character/guns like past battlefields. ButchCassidy386
Uh it feels a lot like Battlefield to me. Definitely more fun but you can't deny its a skin of it. Also, I'm getting so much fucking lag.
My one complaint so far is that it seems like there are fewer and less diverse power ups spread across the map. I keep getting the stupid card regen. Playing the beta there were power ups everywhere, but since I got the full game, they're harder to find and most of the time are useless.
I have been finding myself getting bored of playing this game after a while though. What's wrong with me? I was playing the beta for hours on end, but with the full game it just doesn't feel as exciting. Fighter squadron is pretty fun and easy to level up on as others have said though.
Are people enjoying this game? Every time I play I can't help but feel frustrated with what seems like a half assed attempt at what could have been an epic game. I'm pondering trading it in already.
Still not bored. Really like the perks you can obtain when moving up. Played most of the game modes, not all of them, and there are a few I could play for a few nights for sure. I am sticking with it for sure. Really looking forward to see what they do with the expansion pack.
Its not the charging for more, but only having 4 maps for the large game modes and then charging. Like i said, my only real complaint.
I've only really done fighter squadron so far as well as the single player training missions. Fighter squadron's pretty fun. I'm not much of a PvP online shooter guy (much prefer PvE) but a big SW fan. Probably not worth the price tag for people not already invested in SW but I'm not really regretting it so far. Don't imagine it will be very deep, but it's been fun to pop into to break up Fallout 4 sessions from time to time.
This is my current problem. I keep thinking about playing it, but then I remember I'll be bored of it after a round or two. I'm very conflicted. I wanted this game to be great and was excited about it, but it just seems very average at best. If this game weren't about Star Wars it would have no positive reviews.
what's the consensus on this? I wasn't very impressed with the demo so have held off buying so far...
It's weird because I can play Black Ops 3 for hours in team deathmatch and not be bored. So idk why I have this reaction to this game. I bought the darth vader ps4 since I haven't upgraded my system in like 5 years so it's not like I'm anti star wars or anything.
I normally only have time to play for an hour or so at most so I'm enjoying it a lot. Haven't had the chance to play 2 - 3 hours straight yet, maybe it'd get boring...but so far it's still new and fun for me
Wait until it's cheap. This is not a game worth $60 especially considering you'll have to pay an additional $50 for the season pass which gives you the four future expansions.
I enjoy it a lot. Worth the money for me.. I wasn't expecting anything more than what they said they were giving us in the game.
I enjoy Fighter Squadron, but they really need to nerf the hero/villain ships. Whoever gets them basically flies around the map as an unkillable machine of carnage.
yeah, but if they're on your team they're like a bug light attracting the other side's ships to vulture on since they're all trying to take them down like the transport ships.
How's this compare to cod? Probably going to get one of the two. Always liked the cod games but also like Star Wars so trying to decide. Been playing destiny and kind of getting bored with it finally.
Hey I don't hate the game yet. Few questions for the people who don't hate the game yet. I can't kill a god damn thing in Fighter Squadron. I've largely ignored it, just tried playing last night and today. If I take a plane down on the other team it's because I fly into it. Any tips? Also what's everyone running with? Working on the Pulse Cannon atm. Says the power is dependent on the charge up time. I have no idea what that means, but I consistently do not get kills with the thing unless it's a headshot. Pisses me off. Homing shot in the other hand, highly recommend. Personal Shield for Gold thing, no idea what it's called. Then for the trait I use Bounty Hunter, which I really like. Basically gives you shit as you kill. Oh Blaster DL-44. Had to get used to the single shot, but the thing is a fuckin animal. Pistols are the only gun I had luck with so far.
For the pulse cannon, hold R2 and then release to shoot. You will see a little power up if you hold it. I just figured that out myself.
