41-100 has been announced this far. http://www.theguardian.com/football...est-footballers-in-the-world-2015-interactive Obviously meaningless but fun to discuss nonetheless. Coutinho too high. Lol at being ahead of Reus. Cavani should be ahead of Morata and Costa. Salah too high. Koke too low. Rooney lol. Pastore too low.
Pirlo 42nd at 36 years old, I think that is a bit generous but won't begrudge that magnificent head of hair a lofty ranking. Coutinho stood out to me immediately as well, needs to add a lot more consistency to his game to justify that spot on the list. It will be interesting to see who follows Kane in 2nd place, if healthy it would likely be Sturridge.
At least Kane produces, Martial is still living off of his first 2 weeks at United. Not sure what Rooney is living off of, guessing some people that don't pay any attention to EPL still assume he's good. Koscielny shits on a lot of CBs way ahead of him
We should all keep in mind that this is the same list that had Emmanual Mayuka as a top 100 player a couple years ago. He ended up scoring as many EPL goals as I did and is now in Ligue 2.
So who's left for the top 10? Neuer Messi Ronaldo Lewandowski Muller Neymar Suarez Ibrahimovic Aguero
Whom do our resident Arsenal supporters feel is better between Sanchez and Ozil? Let's say you could only choose one and your roster would be reset (so no need to take team need into consideration).
I think he gets overlooked against other talent because he is goofy looking and English honestly. If he were Spanish and dead sexy he'd probably be top 25. Name another 21 year old who has scored the amount of league goals in a season that Harry just did in 2015, the list is probably pretty short. Many thought he'd fall off this season but he is backing it up again. He's an all around center forward who can hold the ball up well, tracks back, and pick a pass on top of his goal scoring. He has been durable as fuck so far too, knock on wood. You can definitely make an argument for Cavani over him but I don't think Harry is overrated at 38, more likely that Cavani is underrated. I can pick a lot of players on that list who are really overrated, don't think Kane is one. That may be complete homerism but the lad has been dynamite for us, so I had to say my piece.
Martial had a few good matches when he joined United and he is 66, Rooney is 60 (lol),yet Lloris can't sniff the top 100? I don't think I am being that big of a homer by suggesting he was snubbed. As a whole GK's get no love so I shouldn't be surprised. Way too much early bandwagon and lifetime achievement award shit going on simultaneously throughout this list.
Was just going to remark at that as well. The fact that Hazard has been the definition of dog shit for half of 2015 and moved up 3 spots to 13 is absurd when Ozil is 26. He should be hovering around top 10 while Hazard is lucky to still be top 40. Even more absurd is the fact Ozil moved up 28 spots and was 54th last year lol. He didn't have his best season obviously but his talent clearly merited a higher spot. If they are going based on performance then Hazard shouldn't be in the top 100 at all this season.
And while Ozil is clearly underrated I don't think Cazorla belongs on the list at all. Eriksen should be in over him.
don't necessarily disagree with this, but Cazorla was playing pretty well at the beginning of the year and last season as well.
Eriksen is 3rd in the league in assists this season in what has been considered a fairly slow start for him, and he is one of the top FK specialists in England. Given their respective ages and value moving forward I'd think most neutrals would rate Christian higher. When Cazorla is on he is an exciting player to watch but that seems to be less and less recently.
They must be taking values somewhat into account because what in the blue fuck has Martial done to justify his ranking other than being bought for a big price tag? He has top 100 potential but he is def not the 66th best player in the world right now. That said I still take Eriksen over Santi all day in 2015.
honestly, I'm not sure what they are using to have Martial up that high. potential? Santi was sick. Leave him alone already.
Yeah from being turned in circles for 45 minutes. And I can't think of any justification for Martial other than he plays for United and they feel the need to put a few of their players on the list.
As much as that would give me a hard-on, I don't think there's any way the brass at Leicester City could do that. There would be a mutiny.
You'd have better luck with Ighalo. Honestly I don't think striker is your biggest issue, sure you will need someone other than Martial but his supply has been lacking. The tactics are the main culprit, can't believe LvG is still there. No big targets will want to commit to you in January until that situation is more clear. Attacking players will probably be wary to join up and play in that system.
Sturridge obviously, I was just fucking with the Liverpool poster who gave me shit for saying Kane is better than him.
1. Lionel Messi 2. Cristiano Ronaldo 3. Neymar 4. Luis Suarez 5. Robert Lewandowski 6. Thomas Muller 7. Zlatan Ibrahimovic 8. Manuel Neuer 9. Sergio Aguero 10. Alexis Sanchez
Sky sports also did a similar thing, but their top 100 is based solely on players average match ratings from whoscored.com in 2015. They are releasing top 25 tomorrow. Here is a link to 50-26, links for 100-51 at the bottom of that page. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/10107167/whoscored-best-players-50-26
Lukaku not being on there is a joke. Especially not making the cut over Martial. I'm so steamed, I'm going to write AC Jimbo a scathing email even though he probably had nothing to do with compiling this list.
