multiple tornados tonight. the cells that spawned them went to the east and west of my house. sirens everywhere going off. nieces and nephews have been in the hall for over an hour while the adults watch the weather updates. other than that, it was 80 fucking degrees earlier today.
also, new cells keep on materializing south of dfw so the night should continue to be interesting until the cold front finally pushes its way through.
thanks for the update our QB1 in dallas can't get to our football team in san antonio so i am hopeful the weather issues subside soon
Just had a tornado warning and some nearby power flashes, but no confirmed tornado yet. Trying to do our family Christmas party right now. More concerned about flooding tonight into tomorrow That Rowlett tornado looked massive
figures since the Bama/MSU game is next week we always get the shittiest weather when a big sporting event is in town and it will return back to normal afterwards
Actually think the headline you saw referred to the south but thanks for thinking of Dallas as SEC country.
The headline is misleading this is a blurb I've seen. "Multiple tornadoes touched down in the Dallas-Forth Worth metropolitan area Saturday night, causing widespread damage as the death toll from severe weather in the South and Midwest of the U.S. increased to 18."
News here is only saying 4 dead in Garland and 1 dead in Copeville. At least that is what is confirmed as of right now.
Flying into Dallas for a New Year's Eve Wedding on Wednesday. This shit weather better be gone. On a side note, who the hell has a wedding on New Year's Eve?
Well Garland PD is saying that they don't believe the scene where the 4 confirmed dead are is all that they will find tonight. They are have search crews out right now.
I'm in Tarrant County so no issues other than flooding for me as of now, however I am in the mid cities so will track what else happens tonight for sure.
man fuck this storm We're supposed to get another 7" of rain on top of what we've already gotten and the flooding is terrible. 10' snow drifts sounds fun
