I don't think he was ever going to play in the Genesis or Torrey. They never finish on time on Thursday and Friday and he's not going to fuck around with a Friday or Saturday finish at 6am. I could see this being the timeline for him to do ongoing maintenance on his back to eventually gear up for Augusta.
He’ll be out 3-4 months minimum. If Augusta is the first month he’s back, that’s gonna be an easy MC. He had three discectomies prior to finally having a fusion in 2017 inserting the cage in his spine and replacing the disc. Now he’s having symptoms at another level. This really sucks
That's the norm for a Lumbar Discectomy (micro, decompression, laminectomy, etc). Having to have a decompression surgery at an adjacent segment to a Fusion does not bode well for him. Physics and transfer of energy and such. Having said that, I never thought he'd win another Major after having multiple back surgeries including a Fusion.
I think JT has handled it really well and seems like a good person who did something stupid, knows it, owns it and should be able to move on from it. He has suffered personally and professionally; no reason not to give him a chance to rebound. I'm definitely rooting for him
Watching the 2nd episode of the Tiger doc and I forgot what a sanctimonious twat Billy Payne was after the affair
We've all known it for as long as Tiger has had a mic put in front of him but the guy is just a drip, personality wise. So hard to imagine him hanging with Jordan and Barkley. Those two just had to be ripping on him constantly.
My wife, who is not a golf fan and knew very little about the Tiger story, blurted out, "oh fuck that guy" when they got to the Billy Payne part.
Talk me either out of or into buying a new driver. Currently have taylormade R15. Hit good still. Anywhere from 280-300 consistent. The sim has dropped $150 with the sim2 coming out. Hit it good when I was trying out drivers a couple weeks ago. Average 290-320 with it. Just not sure I should drop the money to get a driver for 10-20 more yards.
If you honestly get a consistent 10-20 yds further out of a different driver while keeping the same general dispersion then $150 is an absolute no brainer.
I'm positive you can find a sin for less than that somewhere. Maybe not brand new with a fitting though.
Shift staff? What kind of shift you talking about? 12 on 12 off? 36 hour shift then 24 off? Just not sure how much shift I can take.
Have you hit the new TM stuff yet? I got the Sim 3 wood at a demo last year and may snag one with the price drop but I like the look of new drivers over last year’s
Yeah was wondering how the new stuff compares. I had a typo that didn’t make sense; should’ve said I hit the 3 wood last year, not got. Hoping my club gets the Sim2 soon to try it up against the G425
Watched Tiger doc. I am biased but his comeback is one of if not the best comebacks in sports history. I was really surprised at some of the footage and interviews and details. But overall thought it was very good.
Ben Hogan’s comeback was better. Paul Azinger’s was better. All of Tiger’s issues were self inflicted.
mav almost decided to not be a pro golfer because it wouldn't be enough income for him. he comes from the super rich.
Cantley's 61 has him the clubhouse with the lead. Si Woo is likely to catch him but we'll see if he can pass him. Max tanked big time.
it may have been posted here but their house was for sale recently. It had all kinds of sports practice facilities including a hockey rink.
