I hope he kicks ass and takes over for jimbo once he bails. I would love to see him react to those weirdos in college station
OU may be called the air raid but Leach is really the only true air raid guy left. OU is near a 60% run team, compared to Wazzu being about 80% pass.
I get that. I think that a large part of that is that Leach doesn't have the talent, at RB or on the OL, to run the ball effectively. I think he'd be more inclined to use the run if he knew he could. Hell, Borghi had ~800 yards rushing this year.
TIL that there are people that think that there is anyone else who runs there offense the same as Leach There are many MANY variations from all the guys who coached under him through the years But nobody does it the same way he does
All pass happy offenses are alike; each unhappy offense is unable to score in the red zone in its own way.
Not even close? Come on. Riley is innovative. He’s improved on Leach’s core Air Raid tremendously. I’m not taking anything away from him. He’s an incredible coach, and better than Leach. The only point I was making, in an offhand comment, was what his offense could be like with elite talent. I have zero interest in breaking down the various mesh concepts.
So the original premise was that leach would rule with the talent of a top tier program Then we are told that riley is running the same system with the elite talent of a top tier program Now we are told that Lincoln is a better coach than leach A better coach than leach running an improved leach's offense at a top tier program with elite talent never wins post season games
I didnt say it was your premise Now the rest of the stuff you chose to omit was pretty much your idiocracy
Couple seasons ago they ran the ball more I believe. But that year they had two capable backs and a pretty big, experienced line. 2016 they avg 28 rushes a game for about 120 yards which was a pretty big shifts in attempts and yards compared to most seasons. Only avg like 36 pass attempts per game that season
I’m sorry; I couldn’t make sense of it to respond. And I think you probably meant idiocy there. Idiocracy is a movie title, not a word.
The pure hatred of leach from some sections of the Texas tech fan base has always confused me as an outsider.
I love him I think he's a great coach And I've actually watched him coach enough to know that there is nobody that does things the way he does, and not really any very close
This is going to be great. Watching him get off the plane and walk around just cracked me up. He reminded me of someone’s grandfather that shows up to a get together with khakis that are to big wearing white sneakers all while walking around in a confused manor bc the food hasn’t all been put out yet.
I hope not - that transition from a run based spread to a passing heavy spread is gonna take a couple of years at the minimum
He’s going to have time. I’m sure he’ll have at least 5 years to see what he can do. Moorhead was let go bc of his lack of control in the program. Yes his offense struggled which was a contributing factor but the main reason was the inmates were running the prison.
As a MS resident and fan of neither Ole Miss or State I love these hires. I keep up with both and this just makes it more fun. State has money, nice facilities and plays in the SECW. It’s not hard to get quality players especially in a talent rich state. I enjoy tailgating at Ole Miss more, but MSUs game day atmosphere has really improved and their in game atmosphere is better than Ole Miss. At least it was when I went a few times while Mullen was there. Now if we can just get Southern Miss to have a little brother moment and make a crazy hire like Briles, Sark or some shit like someone mentioned.
This doesn’t feel like a good match, which I thought was a big problem with Moorhead but who knows I guess.
