What’s the school you drive by in the north ga mountains if you’re driving from ATL to Asheville? I always thought it was Rabun Gap Nacoochee, but now that I just drove by it, I know it’s not it. The school I’m talking about looks almost like a college campus. Anyone?
If I am understanding the wiki page correctly, every student at that school receives circus training and must participate in at least some circus performances. Weird.
I drove by the Tallulah Falls School this past week on the way to Clayton. Pretty sure it had buildings on both sides of 441. Looked huge.
Probably not what you typically seeking. Just a hipster institution. 21+ and up will billiards upstairs. You would like Argosy in EAV.
Just looked it up, it was for sure Rabun Gap, not sure how I got confused. Tallulah Falls is right there though. Drove by that on Saturday as well -- I actually looked it up because I'd never heard of it.
I’ve been in Atlanta for 20 years. This might be the most miserable 9pm in those two decades. It’s gross outside right now.
Larry Sura and I sleep in infrared saunas. I’m not sure what you guys do but it’s certainly not as cool as us.
A guy who wakes up 3 pounds lighter every morning. It’s the new fad, everyone in buckhead sauna sleeps now.
Going to Atlanta for a conference next week. Staying at the Ritz Carlton downtown. Any food/bar recommendations in that area?
alma cocina, amalfi pizza, sundial bar, and white oak are your best bets in downtown proper its a desert of sorts
We have an event on Tuesday evening, so will likely need something quick that day. Wednesday, we have no plans that evening. Will be in and out of the conference all day but we can come and go as we please. Thursday, will probably be gone by lunch.
You got it man. Are you mostly going to be downtown or do you plan to venture out into any other parts of the city?
I've never been but heard good things from a coworker about Poor Calvin's which isn't too far from the ritz
Poor Calvin’s is great and I’m glad they’re still kicking it bc it’s location is kinda off the beaten path
My first apartment in Atlanta was near Poor Calvins. I'll never forget driving my mom by the homeless shelter at night for the first time.
Park Bar has some really, really good bar food if you’re with anyone picky or in need of a quick meal
