Anyone know anything about this ND game tonight? I would like to parlay something to give me a reason to watch
Really don’t want to touch the game but want a rooting interest as well so I’ll probably throw something down on it. Too many unknowns with Louisville imo
That sucks. That's one of the reasons I quit using Bookmaker. I didn't like anything about the game but needed rooting interest. Teased it to ND -13.5 and U60.5
Other people told me that we could never do this, but I did it last night for Houston. Must be something weird with this game. I ended up going the other way and buying the points as low as possible for ND -17 and taking the under and they allowed the bet. Still could work out.
I like it. That is so many points. And the reserve guys didn't look great against Duke, they had to bring suspended guys in early to the game.
This basically. NU looked bad last weekend on offense, most of this is due to timing issues with bad snaps (like 50% of the snaps per twitter), and the fact they ran 17 plays the entire 2nd half. OL appears to be an issue though. Center is a RS Freshman who played TE in HS and has been injured the last two seasons so hes basically learning on the fly (Frost hypes him up more than any player, but he was terrible Saturday), LG is a walk on who got bullied by South Bama. Lots of young guys on the two deep on O so I expect them to be alright, but some growing pains. The defense looked better, but DL was average saturday, but last year CU's OL made them look like Bama at times (which led to extreme letdown the next 11 games). Still think LBs might be too slow to match up with some of CUs skill guys if needed, seems like NU has been reluctant to switch out of the 3-4 and bring an extra DB on the field. I do think the team has this game circled, so hopefully they come out on fire, but who knows. Would be interested to hear what #Colorado Buffaloes think. Specifically how they expect the D to look as I assume their O still has weapons. Not to be cliche, but I think this game will come down to turnovers and special teams. Which is a tad scary because NU's kicker is battling injury, and the punter is average. TLDR, I have no idea. Wouldnt be shocked at really anything at this point.
D line had a whopping 4 scholarship players before spring ball (only 2 who had played a down). Gave a scholly to any JUCO we could find basically. Clearly a major concern. LB the strongest group defensively, but overall speed of the group a concern. DB - there is some talent, but little depth. Overall my expectation for the group is pretty low. Mel took over a roster with more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese. Wouldn’t touch this game either. Our OL is also shit, but it was even worse last year, so who knows. Is the Huskers starting kicker playing?
No confirmation yet. I think it’s an injury that’s lingered the last 2-3 weeks. He suited up Saturday but not sure if he kicked in warmups or anything. The backup is a 5-9 185 true freshman walk on, who looked suspect (missed a FG and shaky PATs). Some media guys expect him to play, but the media that covers NU is pretty woat.
What’s everyone thinking about tonight’s games? Think I might take Marshall as I feel like Boise may be getting slight overrated from last week’s game.
I took boise in a teaser. I think fsu sucks, but they have way better people on defense than Marshal and boise moved it pretty well. Also a long trip for Marshall.
I forgot all about a *big bookie on therxforum *obviously its the internet and nobody really knows if the guy is indeed a large bookie posting what he actually needs to win or if some average tout pretending. but that's been the guys thing for like a decade and everyone on that site acts like that's the actual situation and not a front He does post a ton of lines in the past but this year claiming to cut them down to just really lopsided games from his players aka "monsters" and "super monsters" which have been very profitable in the past. so far today: Cuse +1.5 Clemson -16.5 I normally blindly throw average single bet $ on the monsters in both college and pro. If it's a game I already like then maybe more
I’m taking Michigan -22 and Syracuse money line for the noon games. Have A&M +17.5 later and will probably take Miami as well
Went 6-2 this weekend. Both losses on fucking Washington. Stayed up until 4 watching that shit. Needed every penny of it because I'm a degenerate and lost a bunch of money on soccer and nfl.
Went 1-3 with the A&M backdoor cover I will never bet on Tennessee football to cover the spread ever again
I’m extremely happy New Mexico State kept it within 55 at Alabama last week. Duke -6 at Middle Tennessee State is interesting. I think the Blue Devils win this easily.
Duke line looks a little fishy. Always tend to bet opposite my gut on lines that look too good to be true. Vegas knows something we don’t. Give me MTSU
of course it is fishy. Not stopping me from betting Duke. Auburn -16.5 was fishy as hell vs. Tulane. I knew Tulane was good and Auburn was coming off a huge win. And I knew Vegas was begging me to take Auburn. I did, and they won by 18. Sometimes you just can't overthink it.
Totally agree about the Aubie game. I feel like sometimes no matter how obviously , I’ve watched enough CFB in my lifetime to know a decent/probably overhyped Auburn team still beats Tulane by at least 17 points at home.
