Ew stroll is the worst I’m firmly team mclaren apprenry racing point completely ripped off Mercedes 2019 design so they may be salty this year
I do like how next ('21) season is kind of a big reset with the new car and investment model. Hopefully it will shake the teams up a bit and allow someone other than Merc, Ferrari, or Red Bull to win a race. It might just end up making me a fan of an actual team depending on how it goes.
FYI, all of the changes got pushed back a year. At least with the car. Cost cap may still be under consideration
The teams all shut down development during Covid This season will probably run later too so the off-season could be shorter going into a new car
Yeah, once I watched the Netflix show I was wondering why it was so lopsided for the big 3. Its ridiculous the disparity between the top teams budgets and every one else. And its crazy the Ferrari gets that extra payout every year just for having competed every year.
You have no F1 without Ferrari. That’s the thinking of those in charge of the sport and Ferrari takes full advantage of it. I think at this stage of the sport they could move on without Ferrari but it would hurt the sport some. But life would move on. But nobody has the guts to call Ferrari’s bluff.
What TMB background theme would we choose for the primary livery color? Greenboard and Dark Blueboard are my front runners.
I need a new season of F1 on netflix. Raced through the first 2 seasons. also that monaco race is on the bucket list.
The back to back races at the same place is gonna be interesting. Might the same happen in either Austin or Mexico City?
Not sure of the costs associated with moving everything but it seems to me that it might make sense for them to just race in Europe this year if there aren’t going to be any fans
I would imagine they want to get in as many races as possible given the TV money they get. I could see multiple tracks have multiple races. Outside of the cost and that's very valid I think a bigger issue is are some country's going to allow international travel. Will Asian country's allow travel from Europe? Will north america allow people to fly in from Europe? I think its entirely possible the answer is NO and probably why the TBD is posted as they work with governments to find a resolution on this
Is the reverse grid qualifiying race actually going to happen? Because that'll take qualifying from being background noise to must see TV.
With golf it's a two week quarantine for players that are now in Europe that want to play when the tour starts up. That's just one guy laying low though, it's a different story to lock down hundreds of people.
Nevermind me https://www.racefans.net/2020/06/02/f1s-reverse-grid-qualifying-race-plan-shelved-again/
IF the flyaway races happen, they won't be doubleheaders. Teams won't want to be away from the factory that long with the condensed schedule Quali races and reversed grids will probably never happen in our lifetime. The power teams will never let it happen.
This was a pretty funny story... https://www.planetf1.com/news/kimi-raikkonen-almost-bankrupted-lotus/
F1 broadcast going to be using all kinds of real time data during broadcast. Some cool things like natural speed of driver.
