If ND takes anywhere close to $75M, Jack should immediately be shipped out with the trash. ::waits for Thoros of Beer to “well actually” this take::
I think we should just take two or three more players that are just freak athletes and figure out position later. We kinda but not desperate need wr, RB, S, CB.
I can never wrap my head around a kid just picking Arkansas over Alabama, USC, ND without some direct relationship.
thats the part i do actually get. Route to playing time and a more clear route to being the "big man on campus". Lets just say that being Treylon Burks to me seems to be more fun that being John Metchie. Maybe being Waddle or Davonte Smith is even more fun but I do get it
Well actually we're operating in a post-dollar world. The next deal will be in Yuan. I've got nothing.
i watched his film and was very surprised by how good he is and he is FAST Hanafin might have more upside down the road but this kid is a very good WR now with a pretty high ceiling to match Loy said he is Tariq Bracy's cousin and will most likely be offered I would be very happy if this kid is WR #4 in the class and Dylan Edwards truly just becomes a floater on offense/special teams
Do you guys have any indepth information about the red flags (off the field) during the Brian Kelly tenure at ND? One thing I've gotten annoyed with from some of the LSU media is how squeaky clean they make him sound. Compared to Les Miles and Ed Orgeron, he looks like a perfect candidate. I'm somewhat familiar with the Sullivan death from a national story perspective. But what happened with the 2010 sexual assault case? As well as the cheating scandel under Kelly?
In terms of Brian Kelly himself or shit that happened during his tenure? He was at ND forever so yea stuff happened
Honestly I would say that early on he thought he would get to play big boy football where like other top programs shit would get swept under the rug. That didn't happen, and later it swung the other way where he played everything safe and used it as an excuse to explain the programs place in relation to the success of the top programs. He always went for the easy low end 4* instead of the elite player that may be more of a risk.
So ill take care of the cheating scandal. Some player boinked a tutor and got her to do some homework for some players. Thats all. Basically wouldve been a nothingburger in 99% of the other schools in FBS im pretty sure, like legit wouldnt even register. But it gave BK even more justification to just be hella lazy in recruiting because he decided it was not worth the trouble if he could also fix his short game in the same time
Also the NCAA's treatment of us over the cheating scandal was ludicrous. Talk about perverse incentives.
At central Michigan he got a student pregnant and they had an abortion. He also passed out at a frat party and allegedly there are pictures of him getting tea bagged floating around. At least that’s what we were told when he was hired. Nothing manifested. seriously though he’s had his fair share of incidents, but he’s pretty private with his personal life and cares way too much about BK to risk getting caught up in something that could take him down. It’ll be interesting to see how he handles general disciplinary issues at LSU - that was always a tug of war behind the scenes at ND.
Not sure if it was discussed, but Kurelic confirmed that one of Keeley’s relatives got involved in his recruitment and was part of the reason for the visit to Bama. And that same relative has since called OSU to let them know Keon is looking at other schools
just like his predecessor Charlie Weis, Brian Kelly also worked extensively with the mentally and physically disabled except his work was in the QB room & on the sideline
threw the ball thirty fucking times in a hurricane because he thought he was smarter than everyone else. the perfect summary of BK
They seem to be only doing this when they feel we're in trouble with a recruit (I remember it for Moore, Keeley, Bowen)
They did it for a wr (greathouse) as well, I think. But certainly do it when they feel they’re losing ground
No. They've done it with others before they committed, as well. Ausberry and Greathouse come to mind. I'm pretty sure I saw some for Dylan Edwards, as well. That doesn't mean Love's not a worry, but not for this reason.
and the subsequent question would be would the trampling have killed him or him nutting so hard that the recoil shattered his spine?
My bad, my bad. Marcus Freeman is really handsome and Jayden Ausberry throwing up an L with his mom was hilarious. Carry on en vogue Notre Dame.
it’s a tough question to answer, kelly was not in control when one of his players would get in trouble so. Nd was a fairly clean program under him but he also had a few shitty guys on the team like prince shembo(threw a desk at a teacher in hs, he was the guy in the lizzy seeburg case, kicked his gf dog to death when he was starting as a pro), cierre wood(you can Google that one, he is a terrible human being), the Aaron lynch saga…and I am probably forgetting a few. Most of that was at the beginning of his tenure and some of these guys were recruited by weis. It’s tough to know if it was him that ran a clean program of just a product of kids that usually are attracted to nd. we know he was pissed at the administration when they suspended the guys for cheating on a few tests so I bet he would’ve handled that differently at a school like lsu. Like it was said also, he is not around a whole lot during summer so it’s hard to praise him when nobody gets in trouble. He probably had nothing to do with that. i do think that he likes to surround himself with good people(coaches and recruits) but what the hell do I know.
IHHH was spot on. Any big time college coach is going to have to deal with some questionable characters if they want to win and Kelly was no exception. But I really do feel those were outliers and he brought in a lot of really likable players and coaches. Some of them sucked, but it was not a character issue. In fairness to him, some of the issues that happened under his tenor were either holdover players or actually occurred before him and he had to deal with it when it came up. I don't think he's a saint, but neither is he a guy who's going to leave your program in ashes.
