I have had a good amount of High Noons today, but wasn't it Michigan's DL coach that was calling the defense for ND most of that game?
Most of that can be attributed to the increased tweeting at recruits by dallasfanindc over the last 18 months
Singer reporting this morning he is not liking ND to get Jason Moore, he's hearing OSU, and he may announce this week. Pelican what say you?
and that really sux but you win some and you lose some when you go big game hunting I think that means the last 3 silents are Hanafin/Greathouse/Ausberry then
Chase Young's high school, Larry Johnson as D-Line coach, depth chart surprisingly probably favors OSU over ND now... This seems like another one of those 'our beat guys got ahead of their skis on a quiet kid who was always going to be a tough commit' more than a fumble down the stretch
I guess something changed over the weekend because they think it’s Ohio State now, though not a done deal quite yet.
Or maybe nothing has changed. All I know is last week no one had any idea what that kid was gonna do.
More than anything, getting into DeMatha Catholic would’ve been a big win if they were able to pull him. Oh well.
No chance at #1 class now, will be interesting to see where the offers or new interest goes in the next two weeks: (1) WR still needed (1) DB still needed (1) RB still needed (1) QB still needed or save the ships for portals
ND should offer Joshua Mickens now Good player that we should have offered by now anyway and we could steal him from LSU. Win-win
Also, Jason Moore is the reason why you should never pass on Traore. Even w/o Jason Moore, ND's dline class is the best it's been in a long time. Jason was just the icing on the cake
Moore has seemingly been an enigma to most of the coaching staffs. Nothing would surprise me with that kid.
Loy's latest but not much there Spoiler Notre Dame had an incredible run on the recruiting trail over the past week. It all started on Wednesday when class of 2024 four-star receiver Cam Williams committed to the Fighting Irish. On Thursday, four-star offensive tackle Charles Jagusah picked Notre Dame over Michigan. On Friday, four-star cornerback Micah Bell committed to play for the Irish. On Sunday, four-star receiver Rico Flores went public with his decision that was in-favor of the Fighting Irish. On Monday, four-star cornerback Christian Gray picked the Irish over Ohio State and LSU, which wrapped up a tremendous week. So, who’s next to join the 2023 class? Let’s take a look at the names to know. I believe Notre Dame is the team to beat for Austin (Texas) Westlake four-star receiver Jaden Greathouse. South Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and a few others are in play, but I expect receivers coach Chansi Stuckey and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees to get the win here. I believe he could commit to Notre Dame before the end of July and it wouldn’t shock me to see him wrap things up within two weeks. I still like Notre Dame to win the battle for Cambridge (Mass.) BB&N School four-star receiver Ronan Hanafin. The Fighting Irish have done a tremendous job here, which goes well beyond just Rees and Stuckey. Head coach Marcus Freeman and director of recruiting Chad Bowden have helped Rees and Stuckey to show the 6-3, 210-pounder a ton of love. I still think a decision could come in July and if that’s the case, it’s hard to see the Irish losing this battle to Clemson. I mentioned West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West three-star safety Ben Minich as a new name to know for Notre Dame. This is a 5-11, 185-pounder, who can has terrific two-way abilities as well as tremendous speed. Minich camped at Notre Dame this offseason and made a great impression on the staff. Notre Dame is expected to offer him and I like the Irish to win that recruitment if all goes according to plan. The Fighting Irish already landed two safeties and two cornerbacks, so it wouldn’t shock me if Minich was the fifth defensive back in this class. One potential addition could be Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab four-star linebacker Jaiden Ausberry. I don’t know when he makes a decision, but I do believe the Fighting Irish are the team to beat right now, at least that is the feeling of my sources as of today. I’m not ruling out a July commitment, but I’m still waiting for him to lock in a date or for my sources to strongly indicate that a date is locked in. Another prospect that says he wants to make a fall decision after some game day trips is St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College four-star running back Jeremiyah Love. Notre Dame is working very hard to get this one done and we believe Notre Dame is very much in the Top 3 at this point and could be the outright leader. We’ll see what he does timeline-wise, but maybe Deland McCullough can work his magic and get this one done this summer. I don’t know when Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star linebacker / defensive end Samuel M’Pemba wants to commit and he says he will announce later this fall, but Notre Dame is very much in play. He says he’s going to be in South Bend for the matchup against Clemson on Nov. 5, so we’ll see how that goes. If things run that late in the process and Notre Dame is still in the hunt, all bets are off.
to be fair to Loy about the two Moore's, ALL ND reporters were reporting the same thing about both guys Singer, Kelly, and Loy all had CB's for Jason All sites basically said Dante was a silent it's recruiting folks, just how it works. Kids change their minds all the time
Chandavian Bradley is highly rated but it seems a lot of teams have passed on him (ND included)...will be curious to see if ND circles back here
please keep in mind, this is against elite TX talent, most of it against Ryan Yaites, whom 247 has ranked ahead of Greathouse for some odd reason. He doesn't look slow against in this film
Think most have concerns he can ever hold enough weight to be in the trenches His get off is about as elite as I’ve ever seen but he’s a bean pole
Technique can kill speed a lot of the time. When you’re running routes like he does against HS competition, you’re going to create separation regardless of the athleticism matchup. Bigger question is how that translates to the next level. But he’ll be the best route runner on our campus from day 1.
So I almost never delete pictures and sometimes I get nice surprises. Today it was Dexter Williams (other times it can be a picture of Ron Perlman when I was comparing him to a cat)
