FFH spidey after he masters the Peter tingle is top tier. In civil war I think it’s fair to put him in that group
Also gotta remember the Civil War version of Peter Parker just got his powers and can't even control his Peter tingles yet. In terms of sheer strength he's even on par with Thor and Hulk.
I’m a Spidey fanboy but pure strength he is not close to Thor or Hulk. Like at all. Unless we are talking one offs like Cosmic Spidey
In terms of raw strength, Hulk is hard to top in an open field. In an urban environment, I like Spidey's chances of using his surroundings and wits to take him down, though. Dunno about Thor though. His power levels and skills change a lot more than Hulk depending on movie vs comic or even who is writing which comic run, etc.
Characters and power levels in comics have always been dependent upon the current writer and how they want to fit the narrative to their particular story arcs. With that said, Spider-Man in the MCU has generally been portrayed with higher strength levels than in the comics.
Agreed. I always think about non-angry Hulk and Thor being comparable, and about ten times stronger than Spider-Man, who’s about ten times stronger than Captain America. I think comic Panther is quite a bit stronger than MCU Panther, who’s about the same as Cap. I don’t remember them ever showing Bucky getting a dose of serum from the Russians or Zola, but he does a lot of stuff that’s too much without something extra besides just the arm. I think Rhodes has a boosted up set of armor, but not the nano bot set Tony was using.
Pretty sure Bucky got a lesser version (like a knockoff) dose of the super serum from the Russkies. Still, I remember people shitting their pants when Spider-Man caught his punch during the airplane fight. I too shat my pants.
Mjolnir powered up Cap is stronger than Spiderman, no?. He's out there 1v1ing Thanos, Spidey gets handled pretty easy.
Movie was kind of iffy on what exactly went into Cap using Mjolnir, and what it meant for him "to possess the power of Thor."
unless I’m forgetting, the only time Spider-Man really faces Thanos is part of the plan to get the gauntlet off him on Titan. he’s more trying to distract him than actually fight him.
In actuality, she really shouldn't have been as strong as she was in the MCU since the MCU version of Scarlett Witch got her powers from crude HYDRA human experimentation via the mind stone, there's no way she should have been close to being able to stop Vision, let alone Thanos with all the stones.
Bucky got the serum in the mcu. He was out running cars in civil war and equal strength to cap. He’s a super soldier.
Bucky stole serum from the Starks after he killed them so HYDRA could use for the Winter Soldier program. And scientists toying with that Stark serum probably led to the type that Blonsky got injected with in the Incredible Hulk.
Isn’t Spider-Man in the comics Hulk level, or at least like you said whoever is writing it. There was something about how someone got inside of his head and realized he’s always pulled his punches or something like that.
"In a press release announcing the addition of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez as the writers of the sitcom theme songs we'll hear throughout the series, it's been revealed that WandaVision will run for nine episodes. That means it will end the week before The Falcon and The Winter Soldier premieres on March 19th (unless we're getting a double bill for the premiere or finale)."
And that was him as a 16 year nerd who has absolutely 0 combat experience just fighting from Spidey reflexes while geeking out at the engineering of Bucky's metal arm.
Moving forward in the MCU, they need to show that as Peter gets older, he understands his strength but that he's also one of the smartest people on the planet. Every Spider-man movie has had him as say the smartest person in his class, not the Hank McCoy level smart that he is really.
Right. In comics it's meant.... Hell I think it's depended on who was writing it. Some could hold the hammer but wouldn't necessarily get all of Thor's powers, etc.
He’s made some poor choices or just had bad luck with the Star Wars and X-men roles, but he still has charisma potential off the charts.
Yeah if he goes all in on the role I think he can do it great. Moon Knight is going to be tough to get right. Gotta walk a fine line between drama and parody.
Also, no Oscar Isaac slander... he's an amazing actor and fell victim to shit XMen films and SW films that threw away his storyline.
