the march ain't gonna do shit about that. Gonna have to put our faith in the house/oversight committees ...
It was a pretty sobering analysis and hard to see how Dems turn it around nationally there. Sort of looks like WV with Columbus and Cleveland and Cincy to make it not the Trumpiest state in the country Locally Richard Ojeda types, I guess. Hard scrabble white guys with populist economic messages and centrist at best cultural positions. Not saying write it off, but wouldn’t spend much time there. It does make the Senate map challenging. Sort of seems like a race between Rust Belt sans PA and perhaps MN going red versus Sun Belt and Southwest going red.
Does organized protest ever work then? I get this isn’t the women’s march, but I think it’s still sending a message.
85-95% of his voters will buy it, but needs 99% of people that voted for him in 2016 to buy it and buy it enough to vote.
Tmbrules must hang out with some people in my fantasy football league. They share the same attitude about paying debts
Also the “olds will die off and this will get better” assumption is not going to work for a few decades. The net Silents/Boomers effect is going to be around until the early 2030s.
The fact that Dems got so fucking close in FL and GA by running black progressives in a midterm is pretty damn exciting. Let alone Beto making a senate race in TX historically close.
I like the late Lipp likes but I never understood following up on news from so long ago. Its like watching sports on tape delay.
People that look at the ballot and are so uniformed or miss the name Rick Scott shouldnt be allowed to vote anyways.
well there's a reason people skipped it. most likely because it's directly below the part people are already most likely to skip over.
Lol Kansas. No way in hell trump is losing Kansas. Them electing a democrat has more to do with how terrible kobach was than then being a purple state at all
Gotcha. Feels like it makes sense to put the incumbent first in a US Seante/House race, but the benefits of having the SoS office I suppose
Let’s revisit how many jobs were created in Ohio after 4 years of trump and see how winnable the state is
you must be confusing ohio with a place where facts matter, with a guy like donald trump in the white house and the electorate consisting mainly of uneducated whites.
if I went to vote in Florida, I wouldn't leave my station until I voted on one of the 2 things that really brought me out to vote. That's a silly point to get hung up on.
Brownback and his morons fucked that state up so badly. I can understand the change in party at governor but still finding a progressive president unappealing.
You knew more about the Florida Governor race than Big Meech - an educated person who actually voted in it. Let’s not overestimate the engagement level of the electorate.
I get you but whereas the womens march was symbolic/messaging I'm not sure what symbol a Mueller protest would stand for. Who's listening/watching it that can be influenced because of it? Certainly not this incoming AG. And now with a branch of power, we will have legislators who can actually do something finally (like that televised broadcast of house testimony that wa mentioned earlier) ...
Gist of "why is black face such a big deal" and "HRC can only make a black joke because shes a democrat" Tosh doing black face ect... The gist of all these threads on the homeboard is this sentiment. "Im mad I cant say or do racially insensitive shit without catching heat for it anymore"
