The only thing we’ve done this window is loan out players. Things would get ugly selling our best player regardless of the amount. They can’t risk alienating the fanbase considering how much is being invested in the new stadium. Our Premier League status would be in jeopardy if we sold Richie.
https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-...t-barcelona-to-brazil-wonderkid-couto-sources Manchester City have beaten Barcelona to the signing of Brazilian teenager Yan Couto from Coritiba for €15 million, according to ESPN Brasil sources.
Speaking of Norwegians, Paco Alcacer saw the writing on the wall and got a transfer to Villareal. Poor Paco, they took er job.
maybe wrong thread for this but with all the recent PL to Serie A moves, I’m curious how everyone views Serie A vs PL
Release clause can get triggered whenever. I don’t think the player transfers until the window opens back up
They’re allowed to register him immediately because of Dembele’s long term injury. Only stipulation was that it had to be a player already playing in Liga. Probably could have happened during the window had the board not been busy spending club funds on marketing & PR to improve the image of their clownshoes president
They were likely going down anyway but allowing their top goal scorer to leave outside of a transfer window probably all but guarantees relegation for Leganes as well. Pretty shitty rule for La Liga imo.
He can’t play in Europe, not that that makes it any more tolerable. Idiotic rule from La Liga that’ll hopefully be annulled soon.
And they can’t turn around and sign someone to replace him because they’re outside the window and the injury exception Barca used obviously doesn’t apply to them. Also, football contracts in Spain are required by law to have a release clause, in case anyone was thinking that Leganés could have avoided this outcome by drafting better contracts. However, I don’t believe Braithwaite is eligible for the CL this year.
La liga allowing this is absolutely crazy but it’s absolute bullshit that it can be done using a release clause so the selling club has no choice and then the selling club can’t sign a replacement. So leganes could sign someone if brathwaite got hurt but they can’t sign someone if he gets stolen from them outside the transfer window. So incredibly unfair in a league that’s already set up to gives real and Barcelona every possible advantage.
Called a joker transfer. Also used in Ligue 1. Barca are just a shittily team at the moment. And this is from a team with no forwards in the first team
Not much in this one This was good for a laugh though. Surprisingly little on Bruno transfer Do not recall this. Bowen has been great for West Ham May not be worth that much but he’s been excellent for then Forgot this nonsense
