She was good. She truly is a one woman band. Setting up loop tracks and jamming on her guitar. The crowd was terrible. People just talked through it because sometimes it took her a bit to set up the song.
They’ll give her a new one, just cut it off and bring the chip part with the serial number to the festival
Is it too early to look at the weather? Yes Do I refresh every other hour anyways? Yes Farm has had plenty of rain and will get more this week. Early forecast for us doesnt have a high temp breaking upper 80s.
Here's my schedule if I were going: Thursday: Don't really know anyone outside of Ron Gallo. Assume I would have done some sort of research if I were going Friday: Japanese Breakfast (conflict with Alex Lahey is stupid) > break > Sheryl Crow > Manchester Orchestra > Tash Sultana > dinner > Sturgill Simpson > Rufus > Muse > break > Chromeo Saturday: Pond (assuming it will be too hot to be at the What for Moses Sumney) > pretty long downtime research would have filled > Kali Uchis > Chic with Nile Rodgers > Sylvan Esso > Anderson Paak > Bon Iver I > some Eminem / late dinner > Bon Iver II > STS9 Sunday: Sir Sly > Broken Social Scene > some Dua Lipa I guess > Daniel Caesar > Future > Thundercat > The Killers
Bring all of Cage the Elephant back. They were awesome last year. Or I’m guessing it will be Big Boi, Pusha T, or some random rapper.
Rumor: Bon Ivers first set will be mainly new stuff and some ole Emma stuff. Second set will be a light show with special guests playing Bon Iver songs and cover songs. Basically another superjam.
Im having to sit through an online ABC course. First year of this. I ve learned you cant serve an overly intoxicated person.
It won't save you any money. I said last year that I just walked in the VIP lounge and Which VIP viewing area with no hassle. They never checked my band.
If you could somehow sneak into VIP camping area Thursday, we serve free draft from 4-8 or something like that. Bell's Oberon
There is more than just that beer too. I have no problem trying . But they make you scan your band to enter. I actually start with 4 different bands on my arm on Thursday. One for each day . It's a plastic band that I pick up at the high school. There's the entrance at the arch and the one on the backside .
Thank the stars I can see SCF game 6 before The Killers Excited for my first Bonnaroo and that was worrying me
I don't see anyone mentioning Trombone Shorty on their Friday schedule and that's a mistake. He's very fun live I haven't been to as many concerts but that's my contribution to the thread
Wednesday afternoon. Will have the car packed when I head to work. Head out around 2 or 3? Drive straight through the night to Chattanooga to my friends house. Sleep at her place for a few hours then head over to Manchester early Thursday morning. We will be in accessible camping again.
Rumor: the Daft Punk cover act that was at EDC will be one of the surprise acts at Kalliope Thursday night.
My favorite part is getting to the VIP Hill on Friday morning when it looks just like that. The last few hours of the calm before the storm at What. Then about 1:30 the green flag drops and we watch from above as everyone sprints to their spots.
